Lots of people all over the world are now enjoying their copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf - catching fish, inviting friends over for tea and scaring poor old Blathers with creepy crawlies.
Many people have their own character on a friend's copy of the game and upon picking up their own edition they will naturally want to move to the new town without starting from scratch. So how do you go about doing that?
Well our friends over at Family Gamer TV have released a handy video to guide you through the whole process of moving towns, which lets you know which items and designs you can keep, and which ones you can't.
This guide is part of Family Gamer TV's video diary series, following one family's adventure through Animal Crossing: New Leaf. As part of the series they're giving people the chance to win that luscious limited edition 3DS XL, which comes with the game pre-installed. All you need to do is subscribe to the channel and comment on a video in the playlist of Animal Crossing videos.
That competition is open to all viewers around the world, but the console is a UK-region 3DS XL and you have to be over 18 to enter. It's close to finishing now and they'll be revealing the winner very soon!
You can see the helpful guide below, which also features an unboxing of that fantastic limited edition 3DS XL. Let us know what you think to it all by leaving a comment.

Count me in! I'd love to win a limited edition 3DS. The game is so much fun.
Moving is a very good feature, something that probably should have been advertised a little. Family members and friends can give the game a go then get it if they really like it.
I'm honestly surprised that this is a feature! Pretty cool.
Im definitely using this feature when my younger brother picks up his own 3DS with Animal Crossing
Good to know that I can do this, but I'm almost positive that I'll never move towns
That caption is the best
I don't approve of the first paragraph.
@DerpSandwich
Hasn't the ability to move towns permanently been a feature in all Animal Crossing games? I'm certain it was in Wild World, and fairly sure of it being in Population Growing.
