Klei Entertainment's latest title is Don't Starve, a game which sees you take control of a gentleman scientist who gets transported to a freaky and mysterious world by a demon.
It's currently only available on PC but a fan of the game recently asked Klei Entertainment founder Jamie Cheng on Twitter about the possibility of it making it to either the 3DS or PlayStation Vita.
Cheng responded by saying there are currently no concrete plans for a handheld version but that he would love to make one:

Dont starve looks interesting... Where are some vids?
@mariobro4 Ask and you shall receive
From the video... It does look pretty nice, I'm loving the graphics. I'd be great if they ported it for the 3DS.
I like the style.
Klei Entertainment Would Like To Bring Don't Cry To Wii U Virtual Console
Don't Starve and Minecraft are the only indie games I would love without so much as playing beforehand to have on a Nintendo device. Especially Don't Starve. It looks SOOOOO much fun!
Don't Starve would be amazing on the 3DS if done right.
I signed up for this with the beta version on pc. Now that the full game is here, I can only say this would be a pre-order for me if it came to 3DS. So fun! Klei did a great job with timely updates and great feedback on the forums thru the Beta development for this. They would fit perfectly with Nintendo.
Please consider this Klei!!
I'd prefer it be on the Wii U as well. It'd be a great game for the U.
It'd be better on Wii U and Vita. It's a stellar game. I highly recommend it.
@Ralizah So you don't people to enjoy it on the 3ds, that's sad.
That game would look great with stereoscopic 3d. I am always on the fence about buying that game. If they bring it to 3ds i will buy it right away
Love this game on the PC, and it would be a good fit on the 3DS.
@Ralizah How would it be better on Wii U? The 3DS and Wii U are so similar the only real difference is preference and graphics.
So I'm going to "lake control" of someone. How exactly should I go about doing that? (Oooooh eeeedddiitoooor!!)
With indie games being ported all over the place, I wish Terraria would get ported to 3DS and WiiU, since it's getting ported to Vita and PS3.
Looks good.
I saw this game on Steam a few days ago and it looked interesting. I'll need to check out some videos of it before I decide if it is worth trying out.
I think a moron deleted my previous post....
@WhoBeThat: You mean your previous 20-some 'first' posts? The ones we don't allow at Nintendo Life anyway? I wonder who would be crazy enough to do that
YES!
I'm still wanting Portal for the Wii U,though. :3
Wait... I haven't even played this game...
Oh my god! I was waiting for Klei to bring Dont Starve to a Nintendo Platform! If it comes, then 1st day purchase!!
Would be awesome since the game is fantastic, but I highly doubt it will ever happen.
They better do it for 3DS i think it would be pretty sweet. Love the pc version but 3DS would be even cooler! :]
Yes please! I have it on pc but i would buy it again if it was on 3DS or even Wii U. Such a fun game!
@Yrreiht Same here
yes, Klei, do it
@theblackdragon
L...O...L Fair enough, but I didn't know how I did that...
I feel we would see a decent increase with sales if it comes to the 3ds. Thats more than enough reason to do it, besides the fan-based fact.
@SkywardLink98 Ah, no, the Wii U and 3DS are quite different. Of course I don't mind the game coming to 3DS, but I do feel, control AND graphics-wise, that the Wii U and Vita touch-screens would be more fitting.
If it is workable and high quality, I'll certainly support a 3DS release, of course.
I've played Don't Starve for a while until I couldn't keep up with all their content updates. It's a hard game and a cruel one. When you die you lose everything. It's basically Minecraft's early minutes of Hardcore Survival meets Tim Burton's fantasies, pretty crazy game. I really enjoy the style.
Problem with a 3DS ports are the controls. They are currently thinking about GamePad support, but I don't know how the game should work with a pad... right now it's played by mouse and WSAD, heavy clicking.
Klei is sooooo awesome. Mark of the Ninja is my favorite 2D platform game in a long time and ranks right up there with the best Castlevania or Metroid games. Please go buy this game of you have a 360 or PC. I had some discussions with them on their facebook page begging them to bring it to Vita or 3DS and they said they couldn't because it was published by Microsoft studios and essentially exclusive. They also did the solid Shank 1/2 games on PS3. I hope they do branch out to handhelds as their games would be right at home. If you haven't played MOTN then go get it and you will love it if you are a fan of old school platforming at all!
Looks like fun, I'd buy it!
Don't know if it's my cup of tea! I rather have Shank 1 and 2. Those are made by Klei, right?
@TourianTourist It's not too bad until winter comes as long as you can find a durable food source (I usually locate my base camp next to a bunch of rabbit warrens) and some basic protection. Then, winter. THAT is brutal.
This is all assuming you can find the materials to make a fire by nightfall. God help you if you don't...
The happiness I would have if this happened.
its a rly good game. i can say that since iam playin the atari times back in the 80s in other words: played a lot of games. i have started it from time to time the last days but iam missing something. its multplayer... would buy it if it came on 3ds with multiplayer.
