Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins is released today on the 3DS, and offers a pocket-sized insight on Chase McCain's past as a rookie cop.
In the game, you can partake in side-quests to unlock Chase's selection of outfits and costumes. Finding all of these side-quests isn't an easy task, but Family Gamer TV's Andy Robertson has discovered a glitch which removes the challenge entirely:
As you can see in this video, a glitch in Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins lets you cruise around the city on top of a car to discover all the side-quests. When driving a car normally the scanner icon, which flashes when a side-quest is nearby, is not available. However using this “car surfing” glitch you can keep an eye on the scanner while touring the city and sort out all those needy citizens.
A big part of the challenge to completing the game is scanning for the different side-missions for each of the different outfits he wears. This handy trick should set you well on your way to tracking down those hard to find missions.
We'd advise you to use this trick with caution — it could ruin your enjoyment of the game.

It's sounds like this game needs a serious patch but it might be so big of a patch that its not worth their time. Shame as I'm still interested but I really need a demo or I probably won't touch this till its dirt cheap! Of course that robs them of money.
Doesn't look or sound anything like a glitch or bug. There are plenty of games which allow you to car surf and, on top of that, you still have to complete the side quests once you find them. This is a complete non-news article, if anything it's a time saving tip which should be consigned to gamefaqs.
So what, you just stand on top of any car. It's not clear how you activate the glitch to me.
this isn't really glitch since you have to complete the quest ... its not a big deal, im still buying this ......
@BlackSpy Just because a game has a glitch doesn't mean it was rushed. Skyward Sword, for example.
.......... that's not a glitch people. if the game did not let you stand on cars it would be terrible. Crackdown lets you ride on cars and I'm sure GTA does too, and its really fun. This is not a glitch in any meaning of the word, but a cool trick or tip. Come on people.
@Marioman64
Saints Row: The Third lets you stand on speeding cars.
And do handstands.
While being chased by military jets.
Naked.
I just picked this up from ToysRUs for just under £30, but for a limited time they are giving customers a free Lego keyring torch! However I'm torn between the 3DS and WiiU versions of Lego CIty now though!
You dont HAVE to Car-surf so ye

'You call this a glitch?'
What I don't understand, is why they are filming this off the screen when he clearly has a modified 3DS with the 3DS capture card which would let him record everything very nicely with no shaky screens.
@Trikeboy woah that's a thing!?? awesome, I may have to invest in one
@Marioman64 Yeah, I only recently found out about it too. You can find it here but beware, it's pricey: http://3dscapture.com/
You can also get a 3DS XL one here: http://www.3dsvideocapture.com/
