Australian gamers have a new way to find and support indie developers from their home country, as the 3DS eShop Down Under — and throughout Europe as the "Developed in Australia" shelf — has been given a region-specific section listing all aussie-made games.
There are currently 14 titles available in the Australian section of the eShop, most of which are developed by Sydney-based Nnooo.
Speaking to MCV, Bruce Thompson, Business Director at Nnooo said:
It's great for us, the other Aussie devs and Australia to be recognised like this in the Nintendo eShop, not just in Australia but across Europe too.
Hopefully Nintendo will roll this concept out to various other nations, so gamers across the globe can seek out and support their local indie developers.

Yeah seems like a good move as I dont know half the time where games are being developed. Nice to see more countries getting credit for there games.
I want to support Japan.
Fractured Soul is probably also in the Australian developed folder.
This is cool. I'd like to see this expanded to more regions of the world. I'd likely buy a few more games just to check out what's coming from different regions.
Hopefully Europe gets an American section with a Nicalis section within it. That way they could release everything they've done but not yet released in Europe. Maybe there could be a Nicalis bundle for half price that includes: Cave story, Nightsky, Ikachan, 1001 spikes, Guxt, and Yagatursa.
But nah... never gunna happen.
If i buy a game i want it's a nice bonus if by coincidence it comes from Europe or Germany.

Nnooo and Endgame are on top of their game right now, I can't wait to see what either of them have in store next
Neat idea, it would be interesting to see who developed and where like that.

Japan's already doing well in the video game industry, it's nice to support a country which is just venturing into the gaming industry This is good news. Do the down under section in america!
I like it, some people (other than Australians) may find it interested to see what's been developed here.
Then again, it's an easy way to see what Nnooo's done
