The folks over at Cinemax were kind enough to send us the first batch of screenshots for their upcoming DSiWare title Snakenoid.
Snakenoid is an unique blend of the Snake and Arkanoid game concepts. Using the stylus the player controls a snake on the lower screen and tries to use it to bounce the ball destroying boulders on the upper screen. In each level the boulders are organized in a different shape.
At the same time the snake has to avoid enemies and may collect bonuses, falling out of the destroyed boulders. The aim of the game is to finish all the levels with the most points.
You can check out all of the screenshots below and we'll have more information on Snakenoid as it becomes available, as well as a full review when the game hits the DSiWare service.

This looks really weird, be interesting to see how it pans out
The "in-action" screenshots don't help you decifer whats going on. Although you get the idea from the knowledge of the games its based on. Interesting.
Not a bad concept, actually. I'm curious how the stylus controls work, since part of the concept of Snake is generally that you can't stop your forward movement. Could be a fun game, though, with a clever use of the dual screens.
It looks pretty fun, nice!
