There have been some readers who've commented about the speed of the WiiWare La Mulana title in the first trailer that was released.
Takumi Naramura, La Mulana creator and director of the upcoming WiiWare version of the game saw some of these comments and wanted to set the record straight as far as the concerns voiced regarding the speed of Lemeza's movement. Below is a statement from Takumi Naramura:
From Takumi Naramura, Director of La Mulana WiiWare -
"We're been following the Internet chatter after our La-Mulana announcement. The reaction has been awesome and we're very excited about the reception from fans. Thank you!
However, I want to address a fan concern that has been mentioned by blog commentators and some forums. The preview trailer we released is a flash movie that was created for publicity purposes. Its speed is different from the actual speed on Wii. Don't worry, Lemeza's movements on the Wii are very fast! I think everyone will be pleased with the finished game. Please be patient and thank you for watching."
We'll keep you posted on any new developments with La Mulana and we'll have a full review of the game when it hits the WiiWare service later this year.

well that's good, the game looks great but he was moving way too slow.
There were speed concerns?
@Mickeymac: That was pretty much my reaction.
The game looks perfectly fine to me!
While I wouldn't say no to a run button, it works fine to me.
Mmm... I like it fast, anyways.
I've played the first hour of the freeware original, and colour me impressed. The game intrigued me because of its rudeness in comparison to more contemporary adventure games. Instead of walking me across the street and buying me an ice cream, La Mulana invited me into her car for a country ride, than stole my watch after spitting in my eyes, and kicked me into a ditch, leaving me to find my way home.
Needless to say, I enjoyed ever moment of it.
I'm glad theyre fixing that. The movement of the main guy looked very choppy in the trailer. This game has now moved to about the top of my list
