Let's face it, we'd all love to see Wii extended the region free success of the DS, let's hope Nintendo are listening.
According to T3 Magazine, this could will be a possibility after comments from Perrin Kaplan, vice president of marketing and corporate communications in America.
"the success of Nintendo DS has offered a lot of lessons about what works in the marketplace -- and we certainly intend to keep our fans satisfied.”
Rather vague I know, but it's something Nintendo must be seriously considering, afterall the DS market has surely benefited from the region free appoach.

Hmm, was this to do with region coding at all? It's not like the DS it the first region free console, all handhelds have always been multi-region!
They NEED to have no region on the games. The 360 has most its games region free, PS3 will have all of them region free. Nintendo have to follow in the competitions footsteps.
