Nintendo Confirm DS Lite Shipment Stolen

Reports around the Internet last week were suggesting that a container loaded with DS Lite's had been stolen in Hong Kong. GamesIndustry.biz have now had confirmation from Nintendo about the 5 finger discount.

"A number of White DS Lite made for the UK market were stolen in Hong Kong. Nintendo is making every effort to ensure that there is enough product available in the UK to meet market demand at launch."

The estimated value of the cargo is around £1.26 million (EURO 1.84 million). That's one big pile of swag. Investigations have been taking place after Black Edition DS Lite's were being reported in Hong Kong last week.
