Welcome to our post-game guide for the Super Mario RPG remake on Nintendo Switch.

Booster Tower is home to your next rematch, which is against Booster. Now you may not have fought Booster before — if you were good at hiding behind the curtains — but this toy fan is a lot of trouble if you don't know what to do.

In this guide, we'll tell you where to find Booster in the post-game, how to defeat him, and what your reward is for taking him down.

Where to find Booster in the post-game

Booster is hiding at the very top of Booster Tower, in the same room where you played a little game of hide-and-seek with him and his minions. You can fast-travel there using the Map feature in the menu.

Don't forget, you need to have stayed at the Marrymore Hotel suite and spoken to the Frog Sage.

How to defeat Booster in the post-game

Recommended party: Mario, Bowser, Mallow — then swap Bowser for Geno

For us, this was the hardest post-game fight of the bunch, and it's because there's a very specific time limit for what you need to do.

Basically, Booster will turn around to work on his train, while one of the minions will encourage him, which makes him speed up. The Shy Guy will do this every turn, which means Booster will get faster every single round. If Booster finishes his maintenance on the train, he will hit your entire party for 9999 damage.

If you attack Booster, he will stop fixing his train until his next turn, but you're only delaying the inevitable by focusing on him. You need to take out all of his minions before taking him down.

We highly recommend coming into this fight with the Attack Gauge maxed at 100%. We also recommend starting the fight with Mario, Bowser, and Mallow. Give Mario a speed-boosting accessory, too.

First up, attack Booster to stop him from working on the train for the first hit, then on the next character's turn use the Triple Attack Clown Car Barrage, which throws fire, ice, and lightning damage at every single enemy on the screen. This will deal a huge amount of damage to the Shy Guys, who are weak to Ice.

Swap Bowser out after this for Geno. Attack Booster with Mario, use Geno Flash with Geno, and use Snowy with Mallow. it shouldn't take too long to take out all three of the minions, which means you can focus on Booster himself.

Booster on his own does absolutely nothing except try to fix the train, and you're going to be hitting him every single turn, meaning he won't get an attack in. Just use your strongest moves (and use items to heal up FP) to win.

Booster post-game reward

Booster will complain that he wasn't prepared, but eventually, he'll reward you with Geno's ultimate weapon, the Stella 023.
