Ah-hyuck! You've reached page two of our guide. We're already running out of Disney quotes. Help.
On this page: Disney Dreamlight Valley: Advanced Tips
Feed your villagers at Remy's Café
Once you've unlocked Remy's Café, you can actually cook meals for villagers. They'll make requests, and if you bring them their order, you'll get a boost to your friendship level. No money, of course. What is this, capitalism?
Find your villagers' favourite gifts
You can find out your villagers' favourite gifts, either by talking to them and saying you'd like to give them something, or by finding them in the Characters section of the Collection tab in the menu. These favourite gifts change daily, so make sure to check!
Check villagers' homes for free chests
Not every home has a chest, but many of them will. These chests seem to contain motifs, clothing, or furniture related to the character whose house it is. The chest will only appear the first time you visit.
The best crop profit margins
This is a farming game, right? So get your crop profits figured out. The easiest early-game one is carrots (34 Star Coins profit) but Canola (84 Star Coins profit), Okra (207 Star Coins profit) and Soya (147 Star Coins profit) are also relatively easy to come by.
How to get Ursula and Ariel to come back from the middle of the ocean
How frustrating is it when you have to talk to one of the sea-dwelling characters, only for them to run off to the middle of a large body of water? Well, there's a way to get them to come to you — just start fishing, and they'll suddenly take interest and wander back over.
Unlock Eric to get access to blueprints
Unlocking Eric is a lot of work, but it's worth it — he'll unlock the Blueprint Table, which gives you access to furniture that you can't get anywhere else.
Click on a character's face on the map to find them
Clicking on a character's face will create a sparkly magic trail in the overworld that will lead you right to them. This is super useful for beginners who haven't quite got their bearings yet!
Fast travel from the map
You don't have to click on a particular well to travel to it — at the bottom of the map there's a "Fast Travel" button that lists all the areas, including realms like Ratatouille, Wall-E, and Moana.

The eyes on that pink-haired creature look like it's gonna kill me!!!
Your "Buy more chests" tip has a surprising benefit. I had been using the House Storage Chest to save jewels, but I temporarily had to empty it out to pick it up. I bought 6 more in Scrooge's shop, then put the first one down and refilled it with the jewels. When I put down the others, THEY WERE ALSO FILLED WITH THE SAME JEWELS.
Unfortunately, it's a mirage. All seven chests behave "as one" so if I take something out of the first chest It removes that out of all.
