Review Critter Round-Up (WiiWare)
The animals aren't the only thing that stink in this mediocre WiiWare release.
Critter Round-Up has been branded by many people as an animal-themed version of the classic arcade game Qix. While that description isn't too far off the mark, there's more to it than simply boxing in area on the screen, but unfortunately it's not enough to keep this...

News EU WiiWare Update: Critter Round-Up & MaBoShi
Europe finally gets chance to sample the ‘delights’ of Konami's Critter Round-Up thanks to this week’s WiiWare update.
Although it’s nice to see EU gamers catching up with their North American counterparts (Critter Round-Up came out in the US in May) it’s a shame that the actual game is so uninspiring. We didn’t think much to it – feel...
News Star Soldier R And Critter Round-Up Hit The USA Today
Two more games join the WiiWare library in the USA today. A cheeky puzzle game from Konami called Critter Round-Up and Hudson's Star Soldier R which is an update to the much loved classic Star Soldier series from yesteryear.
Here is some more info straight from the big N: Critter Round-Up (Konami, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone – Comic...
About The Game
The critters have escaped, and the barnyard is in chaos! It’s up to you to quickly corral the animals in this puzzle-action challenge. You’ll have to mend fences in a hurry to keep all the critters safe and satisfied. But the fun doesn’t stop with the farmland; more than 50 challenging levels take you to several exotic locations, including the outback, the icy Arctic and more.
There’s even a series of minigames for when the critters get you down: Snowball Soccer, Predator Rampage, Chicken Catch and Fence Trap. Up to four players can compete or cooperate as the critters run wild. So roll up those sleeves and grab a friend - those critters won’t catch themselves.

I enjoyed Volfied so this game would have been a download for me if it was a smaller file size.
I can't believe they are actually bringing it to America? That's suprising, but I'm not interested at all frankly.
The most suprising thing is it was developed by Americans making it the only WiiWare launch title in Japan to be made by non-Japanese developers.
I'm getting this for my sib and the mini-games seem fun. Especially the Snake/Kron-esque mini-game.
@Knuckles, check gameplay videos. it looks slow/boring IMO
Yep, I know it may seem "boring" and "slow" but I've seen hands-on video impressions of it and the mini-games seem fun. The main game alone seems to have quite a bit of depth. That being said, my sib wants it, that's why mostly but the mini-games seem pretty fun on their own.
So i guess were getting this game now and instead of Dr. Mario Online Rx anymore... kinda sucks but oh well... Star Soldier R will do for me!
They chose this junk over Dr. Mario? Give me a break! We better get a VC game with these two wiiware games we're getting this week.
@Kevin
you didn't even play the game, and you're already calling it junk?
I'm looking forward to this game. I hope it has a good single player experience.
I wouldnt even get this game and its not even worth it either... just watching the video gameplay was just plain boring easily... i rather play Pop or Defend Your Castle than this.
Planning to get this for my sib. I'll let you all know what I think.
Hey, it looks like QIX....I like QIX
This will not get me to stop playing Mario Kart or Pop. I will pass.
It looks like a farm version of Qix
@Mazero
Some people think 'Anything but Dr. Mario = Junk'. At least this game is far more original than Dr. Mario WW since its not just a refurbish game w/ tacked on Wifi multiplayer.
This game is fun in multiplayer. Its a good party game.
This game looks kind of funny. If it was cheaper then the price it is I might've of gotten it maybe for 500 points.
It IS a good game. I've gotten it, guys. I got it for my sib but I've quickly come to love it myself. 6 or 7/10 in my books.
The game has fun mini-games for 4 people, although, I can only play with two but aside from that, there's enough variety to warrant 800 Points but I gave it a go despite the 1000-points Price tag (which I'm always skeptical to go for) because my sib really wanted it.
I'm glad I got it.
Oh and yeah, the rumor that it's like 300 blocks isn't true. The game is less blocks than FFCC. 230-something. Look above on the right sidebar.
I watched a video of this on the Nintendo channel, it looks, not 4/10 worthy. It looks maybe 6/10, but looks arn't everything.
@shoemaker - I wouldn't judge this based on the video alone. You don't realise just how sluggish this game is until you actually play it!
Never.
Unless it can be proved otherwise.
Well this is a pointless, awful, rip-me-the-heck-off game. Seriously, I can play better games than this, yet they expect me to pay ten bucks for this?! I'm insulted just looking at it!! Big fat NO!!!!
you heard right.
I got this and it sucks i want a refund
Nothing big but it seems, according to the PEGI site that in Europe, it could be called Critters when it gets released.
