Review Untitled Goose Game (Switch) - Short But Most Definitely Sweet
Metal Geese Solid
For a game that sees you controlling waterfowl and doesn't feature any robots, guns or tortured subplots, it's incredible how much attention Untitled Goose Game has garnered since it was revealed way back in October 2017. Thanks to its unique visual style, whimsical setting and instantly relatable protagonist, House House's...

Guide Best Feel-Good Nintendo Switch Games
I see a ship in the harbour
Blue Monday. No, not just a kick-ass New Order song, but the name coined by marketers for the third Monday in January (or the first, or the second — all January Mondays it seems!), which is purportedly the 'most depressing day of the year'. While the genesis and questionable 'science' behind this dreary moniker is...

Honk
If you played through Thank Goodness You're Here earlier this year and thought, "yes, I want more of that," then you're in luck. All of...
Back Page EVERYONE STAY CALM. Here's How To Game Safely On Friday 13th
It's that dreaded day again!
In the magazine business, the Back Page is where you'd find all the weird goofs that we couldn't fit in anywhere else. Some may call it "filler"; we prefer "a whole page to make terrible jokes that are tangentially related to the content of the mag". We don't have (paper) pages on the internet, but we still love...
Memory Pak Forget Zelda And Mario, Thumper Was The Biggest Surprise Of 2017
'Rhythm-Violence' game is now 5 years old
When the Nintendo Switch launched in March 2017, I — like many others — devoured The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I was hooked, and it was only when Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launched a month later that I was wrenched away from the land of Hyrule. But while Mario Kart 8 remains as incredible as it was...
Feature Our Predictions For Nintendo's E3 2021 Direct
Switch Pro, BOTW2, and high, high hopes
It's been a long, weird year, but E3 is back after last year's COVID cancellation. It's still a digital event, as we're not out of the woods yet, but that means we'll be seeing all the big names on the (virtual) stage again. But will Nintendo give us everything we've hoped for, or will we be left a little...
Talking Point Which Indie Game Should Be "99"ed Next?
Nintendo's Battle Royale games keep coming
Tetris 99. Pac-Man 99. Super Mario Bros. 35 99. Flake 99. Oh, no, sorry, that last one's a delicious summertime treat, not a video game. But you get the point: we're seeing a new trend emerge, even though it's based on an old new trend: the Battle Royale. The premise behind the 99 series of games is...

I am quite intrigued.
What they showed so far is hilarious, hope it will maintain a high level
@Forgotten_Arctic agreed so many indie games are league's better. Hollow Knight, Celeste, Undertale, and Castle crashers all cost less, have less recognition, are longer and more fun then this game. Plus less people worked on all these games and you can best then in more than 2 hours
@Coochie_Kong The only reason so many people can latch onto this game is because IT'S SO GENERIC. ANYONE CAN LIKE IT. It doesn't break new ground or do something amazing that makes it stand out. It's just meh. Indie games like Thomas Was Alone and Stellar Fox choose to do interesting things, like introduce emotional stories and amazing soundtracks (I recommend both of those, by the way.) This...does nothing.
@Forgotten_Arctic agreed I will check those indies out thanks!
@Coochie_Kong Sure thing.
I've got it physical
