Hi there, I just downloaded the VC version of Super Street Fighter II and I'm enjoying it except... in Tournament mode, my classic controller will randomly stop working. Is this a known issue with the game, or am I boldly exploring new territory? Thanks in advance for any help!

Which Street Fighter II is it? There are, like, five different versions.

He said it was Super Street Fighter II.

As for the random stop working thing did you check the batteries in the Wii remote? Does it only happen on that game? If you could give me a little more details than I can probably help you out. For now though all I can recommend is check your batteries, make sure the CC didnt come lose from the Wii remote, make sure the sensor bar is at a good location to receive the signal.

I agree with Tasuki. It sounds like a hardware problem. Does it disconnect with any other game?

The sensor bar doesn't actually "sense" anything. It doesn't receive any signals. All it does is emit UV light for the Wiimote to detect (for the pointer function and stuff).

Well however it does it you gotta make sure its in a position to get the light or signal or whatever it does.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. So far the solution seems to be "don't play Tournament mode." The classic controller works fine for other games and other modes of SSFII. My best guess is that something disconnects during the COM vs. COM matches. What happened is after I played my round I watched the other matches play out. The blue light stayed on in the Wii Remote the whole time. When it was time for my next match, I could press "+" to get started and to pause, but no other buttons got any response at all. My third match (in the loser's bracket) has gone both ways: sometimes I get to play it and sometimes not...

I know the sensor bar is essentially an invisible light source for the Wii Remote to sense its position, so it's not that... anyways, I can do without that one mode, I guess...
