Topic: VC monthly fee, would you pay?

I doubt Nintendo would ever do this, but if Nintendo ever decided to charge 20 bucks a month to play any game from the VC as much as you want (similar to Gametap), would you pay? I personally don't think I would, I would rather just buy the individual games whenever I wanted to, but I'm stll curious to see how many of you would like this idea.

Dunno if Nintendo would go that low lol. I remember way back when the VC was first announced, they were tossing around the idea of a monthly rental fee, but I guess they decided against that.

For try before you buy, I'd much prefer demos, they may only offer a tiny part of the game, but at least it wouldn't cost anything.

Wait... You can play any of the games just for $20 a month? That's a pretty good deal! Still, I like it the way it is.

If we were able to download them and keep them for $20 bucks a month, then yes. Id download all of them. Then not pay for ages.

Same here. while it would be nice and cool, I feel that that's just fine the way it is.

If they let us keep the games that we downloaded after the time expire, I'll accept it. If not, then heck no, I would boycott the Wii Shop Channel until they make it free.

Nintendo can't be that greedy to force us to continualy force us to pay for the games we want to play. Even if they let us keep the games that we want to play, it would still be a bad idea.

Nintendo should seriously do demos instead.

I wouldnt pay for services that should be free. Another reason i dont own a xbox. If we'd have a fee to try out demo's and have a large amount then i might consider that.

That would be insanity in the proposed business model. People would only pay for 1 month and download everything on the shop. The idea of being able to play any game they've released for a monthly free is interesting, but the Wii probably couldn't handle it. The games on Gametap are streamed, right? Not downloaded? I wouldn't trust the Wii to deliver on that online experience.

I would stop buying from the VC if this happens. Besides, the VC is poorly managed enough.

Without extra costs per game? Absolutely. The only downside i would see would be less incentive for new games to be added.

Nope. Would rather just buy the games and own them. $20 a month is really pretty high when games only cost like 5-10 dollars. Rather just pay that and own them forever.

No, I just want to pay for a game and nothing more. Eventually there won't be much games you want to play but you are still paying for it.

I rarely download anymore since I have downloaded 48 games between VC and WiiWare. My money is only going to go to ones I think I truly want which will be rare since I have downloaded so many. So no I would not pay.
