Definitely Space Invaders Get Even. I've delved so much into the game. LIT is better then a lot of people say too. Swords and Soldiers should have sold better.

Best thread ever

Tomena Sanner is genuinely in my all time top ten. 500 points. Anyone who doesn't have it has serious issues in their life which need to be addressed.

Well you must admit sonan is an odd name so it probably does not appeal to many, I think the most underrated games I have are bonsai barber, space invaders get even, that game is amazing and almost a full retail game, seriously you people must download this, I have downloaded the extra content and have beaten every stage, then I will also second grooving blocks, then flower works.

Magnetis is a fun puzzler at only 500 pts

Driift Mania - The single player mode isn't really that great, but if you have 3 or 4 people willing to race then it's AWESOME. Nobody seems to care about this game, but it's really a great retro racing title.

Art of Balance - The name wasn't great and the screenshots looked boring... but this puzzle game is tremendous fun. On any other downloadable service this would be getting rave reviews, but on WiiWare it's like people don't even know it exists.

Spaceball: Revolution - Won't be everyone's cup of tea, but a surprisingly good game with a surprisingly lame name. Half action and half puzzle, this game will test your reflexes and force you to think of the best strategies to clear each level. If more people tried it, I think the game could've had a nice following.

Yay for more Driift Mania love.

@ejamer: Thanks for your nice words about "Art of Balance". Too bad people don't look at it. We still think its one of the supreme Wii Ware titles.

Chalk me up as another fan of Art of Balance. The only problem with the game is the structure. You unlock new worlds before the current one is finished, but then that leaves unplayed levels hanging and, at least for me, not played. I did play some of the levels I didn't have to play, but I found myself drawn to the next world which offered a new kind of piece to deal with. At that point, going back to past worlds meant not having those new pieces which made the game more interesting. It's still absolutely worth it, but if there's ever a sequel, I hope you can figure out a solution to that issue.

For me it sounded too similar to Canabalt on the iPhone (and web). I have the same issue with Bit.Trip Runner. I suppose I should get over that.

Sometimes development teams grow attached to their games and don't see (or admit) the flaws... but in this case, I think your claim to have created one of the best WiiWare titles around is entirely true. I haven't met anyone who has actually played the game that would argue - maybe people just need to be more vocal about how enjoyable the game is?

For example, another website was doing a list of staff favorite games for the 2-year WiiWare anniversary. They asked for nominations to discuss, and I dropped Art of Balance into the thread... when the article arrived, guess what made an appearance?

But even before that feature came out, the game got a rave review during the NWR Newscast podcast - so I can't really take credit for influencing the decision. Anyone who would prefer to listen to an audio review instead of reading the short description can check it out here (Art of Balance is the first topic of discussion):

PictureBook Games: Pop-Up Pursuit. And definitely. A 2/10? Ridiculous. Then again, I've never agreed with CB's reviews.
