The missing Capcom fighting game has returned. I just checked yesterday night, I don't know since when it was restored.
EDIT: This was what I was actually going to post yesterday, but after seeing the European blooper, I wanted to calm down anybody who thought that could mean the beginning of the end for Wii VC. I always turn any parental controls off in my consoles, so I'm sure the removal and return of SF2 was not a problem on my side.
That doesn't explain why TG-16 games are still not available on the NA and EU 3DS Virtual Console.
No. It only points out that this game was restore for download. For some reason some people think that the removal of games will lead to their inclusion on the Wii VC, which hasn't been the case. Most of the NES and Super NES games available for Wii U, remain at the Wii VC and none of the C64 games have made their way to the Wii U either. I think the reason behind the absence is because of the low sales the TG-16 games had over the NES and Super NES games on Wii mostly because the TG-16 in NA and Europe was not a popular system, on the contrary, in Japan it oversold the MegaDrive and gave the Super NES a hard time to get in most households in Japan. A few remember the game Shockman in NA, but many gamers in Japan have very fond memories of it by its original name of Shubibinman, which spawned 3 sequels and a late prequel on the SFC, the Japanese Super NES. Nintendo and Konami simply don't want to have marginal profits, for them it's just not worthy.
