Topic: Start begging Nintendo for a online NSMBWii?

As for the alternate modes, here's hoping that they have something akin to Tingle's Tower in Four Swords Adventures, albeit perhaps with a less disturbing name.

For those of you who don't recall, every few levels you would reach another tower in which you could play unique minigame modes that were enormously fun and greatly extended the appeal of the game. Amongst the alternate games was a mode where you'd just battle a map loaded with enemies, to see who killed the most, and a great get-the-cuckoos-first game that involved more skill than you might guess.

If I haven't mentioned it before, 4 Swords on the Gamecube is easily my favorite multiplayer game of all time, and I just hope that this title has the same cleverness and polish.

@confusedadam: I see what they're saying, though the similarity is nearly non-existent.

Oh, and if you thought I was going to explain what they mean, you're out of luck.

An Online version of New Mario Bros Wii would be awesome, but let's face it, online play is not Nintendo's interest, as much as we want it, and Nintendo has released online games, Nintendo isn't taking it seriously enough. Maybe if there's a sequal that might include online, or even better, include level editors. But to be honest it's not going to happen in this first Wii New Mario Bros game.

Could the game be better? Sure! IMO the two toads look, well, "meh", give us at least Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi or maybe give us the ablity to play as a Koopa or a gomba for the first time!

This is how I would make New Super Mario Bros Wii...

• Characters: Mario (red), Luigi (green), Toad (blue), Daisey (yellow)
• Hidden Characters: Peach, Rosalina, Koopa, Gomba, Wario, Waluigi, Birdo, Baby Yoshi
• Level Builder
• Offline (4 Player) and Online (8 Player) Multiplayer modes, Collect coins, battle mode (attack eachother), Co-op mode, Team Mode, and Classic Clash mode where you fight in a remade "Arcade Mario Bros" pipe zone.
• Incorparate the Patent feature, Beginner mode for new Players, Infinate mode for Casual gamers, Story mode for Intimate players, and Super Mode for Challenge lovers.
• Items: Muchroom, Fire Flower, Leaf (we need proper flying, seriously), Super Star, Propeller suit, Frog Suit, Penguin Suit, Hammer Bros Suit, Tanooki Suit, Koopa Suit, Sniffit Mask.

EDIT: If there is a sequel to New Super Mario Bro Wii, I would love to see DS connectivity, but it would be a good move not to make it compulsary.

I just hope there's hidden characters that you unlock by either beating the game, or by accomplishing something else. 2 Toads is 2 Toads to many.

The only thing I'm not sold on with NSMBWii is the two toadsplease please please let there be unlockable characters. I doubt it will happen but blue toad and yellow toad? Nintendo can do better than that!

(facepalm) To be honest, I don't need online-play for an mutiplayer Mario game. It's still an promising game, why make it decided if your going to get it or not?

I would love to see Peach as a character. I don't care about ruining the continuity in that she's supposed to be kidnapped.

I wish it was Wario and Waluigi, but I'll play as Mario anyways.
