Topic: Quality 3D platformers on the Wii?

I've discussed this briefly in the GameCube thread, but since that doesn't seem like the right place... Are there any quality 3D platformers that I'm missing out on? Back on the Cube I had like a dozen yet so far all I've got on the Wii is Super Mario Galaxy. Of course I'll be picking up 2 when it comes out, but I'm really curious if anyone knows any other titles. Even WiiWare would be fine. Hell, has anyone played Alice In Wonderland? That's been getting some pretty good grades.

(And yeah, I'm aware of Shin'en's Jett Rocket (which looks promising), and Flip's Twisted World (which doesn't look very promising))

Most people don't seem to like it, but I had a pretty good time with Sonic seceret rings, and black night

Rabbids Go Home and De Blob are two that immediately spring to mind.

I really enjoyed Mushroom Men The Spore Wars.

Percentful

Depending on how you play it, Super Paper Mario can be about half 3d...

Just let it happen.

Wouldn't call Rabbids Go Home a platformer (as there is basically no platforming in it) and it was kinda disappointing, but I totally forgot about De Blob (semi-platformer, already in my collection as well!) and Mushroom Men (also in my collection, d'oh). I've also got Super Paper Mario, but yeah, wouldn't really call it a 3D platformer, still fun though.

I could really, really use a Rayman 4 right now.

Forgot to add a thanks to that post. So yeah: Thanks

(on another note: what the Wii lacks in 3D platformers, it more than makes up for in 2D platformers...)

Yikes, I can't think of any besides Super Mario Galaxy!
You should hunt down Wario World for the Gamecube and play it on your Wii

You can get it pretty cheap on eBay and I've heard nothing but fantastic things about it...But it got the shaft because it was short just like Luigi's Mansion. But again, if we're talking Wii...well, Super Paper Mario is a semi 3D platformer..er

Deadly Creatures is an absolutely awesome action platformer. Prince of Persia: Rival Swords is great too.

Already have Wario World and Rival Swords (well, the Cube version) Not really feeling Deadly Creatures, unfortunately - I'll change my mind if we get a big Wii drought, but not too fond of insects.

What about the lego games? they're all good 3D platformers, with multiplayer too!

What about stuff with elements of platforming but that aren't platformers like FF:CC: Crystal Bearers and Metroid Prime...

I total disagree regarding Deadly Creatures. I Dug the idea, but the excecution was tedious and the combat was just unresponsive and flat out boring. It had atmosphere at least, but it just felt like a ho hum second rate mediocre(yet unique) platformer. To me, Mushroom Men looks alot more interesting....well at least the Art Direction anyways

Super Mario Galaxy 2 will clearly be the next 3D Platformer to get.
By the way, what about Klonoa Wii....it may not be 3D, but it's 2.5D hehe. That game was so dreamy and surreal and flat out amazing in my eyes. The soundtrack was superb and is one of the greatest videogame soundtracks of all time. It's what dreams are made of

Oh god, not those countless Lego games which are basically all the same with a different Movie theme

I thought the combat in DC was average but I found it so much fun running around as those critters. It was partly Spider (PS1) induced nostalgia though, I'll admit.

Klonoa's art style always put me off getting it, but that soundtrack does seem pretty awesome. You've put it back on my list.

I remember playing Spider back in the day
that's what always comes to mind when I think of Deadly Creatures hehe. Anyways, Klonoa has crystal clear and beautiful graphics. It's actually one of the best looking wii titles if you ask me. I was in awe over some of the surreal back drops and just captivated by the dreamy sound track. Like Mario, this game made me feel like i was a kid again. It really is a great platformer, if there's anything negative I'd say, it would have to be the fact that it's a tad easy. But if you try to collect everything it definitly bumps up the challenge. It's definitly in my TOP 10 Wii Titles. Zack & Wiki is another amazing Gem many people have overlooked, but that's a different genre all together.

Already have all those amazing 2(.5)D platforming games on the Wii, apart from LostWinds2: Klonoa, WarioLand, Muramasa, A Boy & His Blob, etc etc And yeah Klonoa was definitely worth buying, but I think all of those 2D jewels are

I'll consider the Sonic games, I suppose, I did mildly enjoy Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. But yeah, thanks again for all the recommendations guys.

I actually got burned out on Zack and Wiki about halfway through, it was fun at first but after a while I stopped caring about solving the puzzles. A puzzle game has to have a strong narrative, like in traditional PC adventure games, to keep me interested.
