Yeah, might wanna look at some more WiiWare games. I think you are missing out on some great games.

My problem is that when I go to spend money, I would rather buy classics... than classic revamps or things made to look like classics. What I am saying is, is that I am old and my wallet is controlled by my deep nostalgia for old games.

That's cool, nothing wrong with the old classics. But the way you said it was like there aren't any good WiiWare games. That it was all just Flash games that could be made by a college kid. But gorgeous games like NyxQuest and LostWinds (just to name a few) proof otherwise. And it's not only revamps of older games, there is a lot of original stuff on WiiWare.

Re-edited my last list on page two with Bit Trip Runner at 90%. I feel that score will go higher the longer I play it

But there are some really bad games that gives Wiiware an bad name,
And Rarely any good ones like Dr.Mario or World of Goo.

But Wiiware has been picking up on some great games now, and hopefuly it stays that way.

For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.

I love WiiWare. It's there for only 2 years now and I'm convinced that it will be even better in a few years. It will probably carry on to the next Nintendo console too (as DSiWare is also confirmed to be on the 3DS).

Sure, but the same goes for the Wii itself. Lot of crap has been produced on it. But to say that there are rarely any good games on it. There are a lot of great games on it.

Okay, I would like to see less filler on both the wii and wiiware. But, I can't really have an opinion since I only own three wii games. And one of those is SNK arcade classics.

You might like Metal Slug Anthology. Almost all the Metal Slug games and it can be found for almost nothing now.

I almost won it on ebay... but was outbid at the last minute. I'll try again. I really want it.

I'm just the opposite. I'd much rather try out new games than download old ones. I'd MUCH rather buy the game itself than downloading it. Unless it's Earthbound or something ridiculously expensive

I gave up on downloading the games. I've become completely determined to get all the VC games I want on the original cartridges. I'm only missing like 6 games that I want for cartridge which are TMNT(NES), Contra series, Castlevania, Super Mario Bros. 2, and Gradius 3. There might be more, but I just haven't thought about it too much.

The overall quality of wiiware is pretty decent. I'm lucky enough to be able to have purchased a large number of wiiware game and would rate my collection as 90% overall.

You get poor games in wii and ds retail as well. Not to mention XBLA , PSN and their retail counterparts as well.

Yeah, my wiiware collection is VERY weak!

bit.trip beat, core, void, runner - all excellent though for me core is the one that I didn't click with as much

lit - cool puzzle game with horror setting. game I should play more

bust a move plus - nothing amazing but still a solid game if you don't have another version. mainly bought cause the version on taito legends 2 looks like a cheap clone.

bubble bobble plus - again nothing amazing but you do get 100 new levels and ability to download more dlc. solid game

onslaught - online coop is really cool and the arcade style score based gameplay with some fun defend missions actually makes it stand out despite seeming like a generic fps. reminds me of starship troopers which is cool.

bomberman blast - pretty cool bomberman but thought I would get more fun out of it.

warioware diy showcase - really cool microgames with tons of downloadable ones even without friend code stuff. between big name games, weekly games, and theme games that users made you get your 800 points worth. not to mention direct sharing with users.

alien crush returns - really cool video game pinball. pinball junkies might find it shallow but works as a game well.

adventure island the beginning - terribly unpolished yet still challenging fun. kinda like the original. stands out as a platformer where you must constantly race through the level. can be frustrating though.

star soldier r - wish there was a full fledged game mode but whats there is really well done score based shmup action. can't resist coming back to this

tomena sanner - cheap fun. out there one button platformer that is fun to keep coming back to.

overturn - expected to enjoy this more. computer is cheap. customization is limited and lacking online opponents. fun for a bit but those issues hurt long term fun.

castlevania, contra, gradius rebirth - all excellent games that all serve as a tribute to these great gaming series. great graphics and music. challenging gameplay and just enough new or changed to make it not just a rehash. well balanced difficulty too.

my life as a darklord - fun strategy game. dlc isn't needed as some think

space invaders get even - unique shooter that gets better with one of the dlc packs.

excitebike world rally - excellent game with very fun online. actually enjoyed this more than when i rented exitebots

Overall wiiware is very good and has some of the best and most original games of any download service plus some cool remakes. Probably spend more time with wiiware than disc games for the most part though both compliment each other very well.

Alright!

World of Goo 94/100
-Hilarious, really cool puzzles, great style. A must play.
Bit. Trip Core 93/100
-Large difficulty curve, but once you understand it, you'll feel so awesome.
Cave Story 92/100
-Umm, it's Cave Story. Plus it has panties. (Mainly the panties =P)
Bit. Trip Runner 92/100
-Zooooom. Plus Anamanaguchi.
Mega Man 10 92/100
-So much stuff to do. Mah first Mega Man game, started out on Easy, then eventually mastered Normal. Hard Mode is ridiculous though.
Bit. Trip Void 91/100
-If you suck, the music really sucks. Once you understand the game though, music gets good (takes a while though)
LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias 91/100
-Great puzzles, and really fun to play.
Bit. Trip Beat 90/100
-Table tennis while listening to chiptunes! =D
Max and the Magic Marker 85/100
-Really fun puzzles, but the game sometimes felt a bit off. Kinda glitchy. Still great though.
NyxQuest 83/100
-The whole time I was playing, I was always like "Omg awesome!", except it ended way too fast. Only got 4:30 (including the secret level)
Tomena Sanner 81/100
-Fun, silly game that's easy to come back to every once in a while.
Water Warfare 80/100
-Good, but when I first got it my internet went out for a while, barely got to play the online. Might play it again though.
Swords & Soldiers 70/100
-Meh. Vikings were fun, Aztecs were decent, Chinese suck. Just got bored.
