I still have the cartridge, so I might not buy it again when it arrives. However, it will be a great way for others to play this awesome game without having to pay a lot of money for it. Plus, this will be the first third-party N64 title released on virtual console since Cruis' N USA (bleh).
Monster Hunter 3 Online Name: THE MAN; Code: RBCJDT
Wow, you have no idea how much I want to see this game come to the Virtual Console! I really hope we will see it sometime soon! Oh and welcome to Nintendo Life!
It was Nintendo-published in Japan only, the American release of the game was by Atlus. Also, the Ogre Battle series is in no way related to Nintendo, unlike Sin and Punishment and Cruis'n USA.
@Adamant: According to that site, I'm sure Nintendo will be publishing the North American and European version too, so technically, it's still a 1st party title. Look at the site that he posted.
However, if Atlus does publish the North American and European version once again, then it would lead to more 3rd party titles.

Good thing it's published by Nintendo. Awhile back Atlus said they had no intention of supporting VC. It's understandable though, as aside from Shin Megami Tensei (the first was released on Japanese VC, and no way they'd go through with the effort of translating it) almost all of the games they published on VC-supported consoles was licensed anyways. (the only other I think could've worked is Puzzle Boy(s) for Famicom Disk System and TG-16 (related to Kwirk and Amazing Tater for GB). Nice puzzle game with only a few Japanese menus. But one obscure game is hardly something to get a VC contract over? )
@KingMike: Like that said, it's published originally only in Japan by Nintendo, so hopefully, Atlus will step up and publish the North American version.
