Ok, for those who are interested, I got myself a second Wii, an NTSC US version to play US games. I picked up a black US Wii on my vacation and I have it hooked up to my nice 40" TV (Well it's the only TV in the house that can use PAL and native NTSC) all was great until I heard the news today of Metroid Other M being pulled to a closer date 3rd of September, 3 days after the US release! Kinda annoys me since I blew quite a bit of money getting this US Wii. Not to fear though, I managed to pick up Excite Bots, a game that STILL doesn't have a UK/EU release date for a mere $5 at Sears, New and with a Wii Whell. I got myself a Wii Points card too since the WIi Shop channel with only except credit/debit cards from the US, I downloaded Star Soldier, a game not avalible in the EU Wii Shop, and I'm loving it since i'm a big Shump/Takashi Mejin fan. I've been debating to myself if I should download Cave Story already, hoping that they don't release it tonight on the EU store!

Anyway, any recomendations for other NTSC only titles. Being a Shump fan, I could import a copy of Castle Shikigami 3 and Ultimate Shooting Collection. Plus the Data East collection looks tempting too, can't get enough Bad Dudes to save the president right? heh.

You can filter the game lists by region can't you? To be honest on the download front there's not much NA-exclusive stuff I found interesting, though if you're into the Virtual Console being able to get 60Hz versions of NES and other games alone will make it worth your while. I'd hold off on Cave Story because Europe is getting a version with some reported issues fixed like the music and sound; it's not clear that a patch will be released for North America or not.

Likewise Castle of Shikigami III is being picked up by a European publisher, though there's no word on either Ultimate Shooting Collection or Data East Arcade Classics (and given Majesco took over a year to publish Blast Works over here, who knows if the latter will make it across).

Ultimately the lack of compelling imports is the reason I sold my North American Wii; other than Excite Bots I didn't really see a reason to hang onto it and whilst I enjoyed Excite Bots, I'm happy with Need for Speed Nitro for high speed arcade racing thrills and will likely get Excite Trucks again for my "big air" fix. Plus it's always possible that if the release schedule starts looking empty NoE will decide to release it - I can dream, can't I?

Get Shikigami 3 as its excellent. The EU one im thinking may be stuck in limbo so get the US one.

Avoid ultimate shooting collection as it has game breaking bugs. The time counter is broken so credits never increase, its supposed to increase like Ikaruga does over time. Try playing Chaos Field with one credit. Ask anyone on SHMUPS.com if they can finish it in one credit.

Also Data East classics is great.

Well, I tried to resist the temptation, but I ended up buying Cave Story. I've heard that there's bugs in the game, so far I haven't seen them that, but I love the game! Mind you the new music wasn't that great so I switched it over to original music.

Issue is, I only have 300 points left, what can I buy with that? Nada, lol. However I do know of an online store that I can buy US American Nintendo Point cards for about £12 for 2000, which is awesome since it's £17 back here.

Anyway, it's a shame that Ultimate Shooting Collection is bad, I REALLY wanted Radiallergy, especially when it was going to be a GameCube game, and got canceled... How is ILVELO, that's another Shump that didn't get over here, is that a good one? Or should I avoid it?

Ok, I bought some more points and bought myself Ninja Gaiden 2, which I'm so digging right now! Gotta love the clone-jitsu. And I downloaded Wildguns, thinking that it was like SIn and Punishment, which I was wrong since you can't move and shoot at the same time, it'll have to be something I need to get used to I guess.
