Well, nintendo power has released their verdict for muramasa: the demon blade. They gave it an 8.0/10.

Nintendo Power stated pros and cons for their verdict, ill summarize what i remember:

Pros:
Amazing water colour visuals
Lots to collect
Combos
Fairly compelling story for both characters
Cool Okami battle style, 3 different types of swords to wield (just like there were discs, swords, and beads in okami), realistic weapon breaking
Multiple difficulties
Once again, gorgeous 2D visuals

Cons:
Combat eventually turns into button mashing, and that can get you through quite a lot of battles, but not all
Both characters feel very similar
Both characters weapons all arent that unique, a lot of special moves exclusive to each weapon are just variants of other weapon specials
Game starts getting repetitive and boring, hence why eventually its easy to mash buttons and lose the drive to combo and chain planned attacks

There you have it, nintendo powers review of muramasa from their October edition. They recommend buying it as a good wii single player experience, but they say it may not be SUCH A GREAT experience to some people, especially those who are keen on a lot of combat depth since it doesnt take much skill to be good at combat if you dont care about super combos, since you can just as easily win a fight usually by button mashing. They say the visuals are definitely not something to miss though, its a beautiful looking game.

Personally, i wont mind missing the visuals, im saving up for some other stuff so ill ultimately pass on this.

I always enjoyed Nintendo Power's reviews. Very short and to the point.

Oh great, Muramasa: The Demon Blade is going to end up like poor The Conduit.

I dont think it will lol, it will fair better, but it wont get the justice it deserves (guess i shouldnt say this since im not buying it lol)

Just because the game go the same score its going to do bad? Or is it because its hardcore?

Not the same developers, not the genre, not the same anything. Hopefully it sells well.

NO change that picture panda lol, my friend taped that picture all over the locker room in school once and im sick of it lol, he had a whole bunch of pics for that face, and they all looked different. One was 3D looking, one was like urs, one was sketched, just NOOOOOOO MORE LOL

This is it bit of a niche game that received a lot of hype for its visuals so expect reviews to vary greatly. This kind of game appeals to me and I don't think I would get tired of it yet others will.
