I bought a PS2 version, and literally hated every second of it, I unlocked all the endings in the hope that the fun would suddenly pick up somewhere but it just didn't, I know the series has its fans but I hated it, I just found the entire thing so pointless, I traded it in and didn't even care that they offered less than half what I paid for, I was just glad to be rid of it, sorry Sims fans but honestly that's how I felt about it.

True sims fans have disowned the mysims series. Everyone knows that console sims games are inferior and dumbed down compared to the PC/Mac ones, and that's even when they have the same name.
@Machu: I'm actually quite serious. I originally wrote it off, but the platforming and mystery solving aspects look kind of fun. Ordinarily I don't like any kind of open-ended Sim game because of the life-sucking aspect (and my general disinterest in running a simulated-anything), but the mission-driven nature of the game combined with customisation seems like a potential winner.
@Sean: IF I ever played a My Sim game it would be this one, the overall goal sounds fun and decking out your own secret headquarters with lots of cool kit would keep me entertained for sure. It's just how it looks that bothers me, too cute, and not in a cool Nintendo way. I'll see how the reviews do.
The asking price of £39.99 online is a bit much (also the same for Spore Hero). EA seems to be getting a bit overconfident on the back of their success with recent sports/fitness titles methinks!
Of My Sims Agents? If you are talking about some other My Sims game, no one here is going to disagree with you.
No MySims game has been released on PS2 so he must be talking about a regular Sims game which is completely different.
I just saw MySims Kingdom on Wii for £7.99 on play.com so I bought that. I enjoyed the first game for a while (my comments are on the game's review page here) and was interested in playing Kingdom too but I did not want to pay too much for it.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
That's more in line with other reviews I've seen and why I avoided it, though the premise of a more accessible, cutesy Sims game does have appeal for me. It appears that EA has decided to go in different directions with the franchise and that's a good thing.
MySims Racing and MySims Party were absolutely horrid (so happy I borrowed them from the library instead of buying or renting, no money lost). MySims the original was ok, and I actually had fun with MySims Kingdom, so I'm keeping an eye on MySims Agents... see where it goes. Definately waiting for reviews first.
MySims Kingdom is good... if you liked the first game. Its basically more of the same as we all knew but actually has a proper story of sorts running through it. Okay so you can't invite people or have complete freedom but it doesn't matter, this game more than makes up for that. I just got it today and I am up to the third proper island. Its still a collect-em-up with you searching for essences as before but they throw in some new tasks as well such as pig herding.

I am and I hate the MySims series so far (well, that 2nd one was okay but nothing special). I guess it's the adventure/puzzle elements that have me willing to give the game another shot. Also it reportedly has MySims versions of Isaac (Dead Space) and Faith (Mirror's Edge). INSTANT WIN!
