Topic: My Free NES Game

I've still got that one free game since I was one of the chumps who paid for the internet channel. I wish we could just have the 500 points back, but they seem to want to push NES games, very few of which interest me. I have been able to narrow it down to 5, and once I've played the demos in Brawl, I may eliminate a few. Still, my list as it stands:

• Kid Icarus
• Metroid
• Ninja Gaiden 1
• Ninja Gaiden 2
• Ninja Gaiden 3

So, anyone care to make a case for one of these for me?

On an entirely unrelated note, something else: Nintendo is the only console to release downloadable games on a weekly basis, and we have more, by far, than the other consoles. While I don't like to wait, I've realized we should still appreciate that we're getting as much as we are. Instead of comparing to Japan, those of us in America should realize NoA could be comparing against the PSN or XBLA, and release even less than they currently do. So, hey, it could be worse.
I still want more though...

Metroid. Or try castlevania. similar to ninja gaiden

I wouldnt get Metroid. Personally, id look into a Ninja Gaiden out of those 5.

Kid Icarus is the only one of those with a Brawl demo. DO NOT play the Super Metroid Brawl demo and think that it's comparable to Metroid. it's not, and you'll be INCREDIBLY disappointed. Super Metroid is a beautiful game... Metroid, not so much. I recommend Kid Icarus, personally, but Ninja Gaiden wouldn't be a bad choice either. both are tough, though, so just be aware of that.

Since somebody already derailed from your list onto something else I'll follow them and also recommend Castlevania.

Like Ninja Gaiden but with awesome music, and awesome whips, and bats :3

I'm aware that Super Metroid is far and away better, so I knew not to make the comparison. I didn't know that there wasn't a brawl demo for Metroid, though.

I've already got a Castlevania DS game which I haven't played yet, and isn't the first Castlevania getting a ReBirth game?

So of the list, it seems like I should go for the third Ninja Gaiden game?

Since you seem to have all side-scrollers on your list...I will also take a detour real fast. Kirby's Adventure, is a fine pick. The game is among one of my favorite 2-D side-scrollers on the NES. I'll go as far as saying it's almost as great as Super Mario Bros. 3. All the games you chose are extremely hard, so if you want a challenge, pick Ninja Gaiden.
