sometimes i really wonder if they need an ERSB for these types of games. of course its gonna be rated E
I don't know if that's serious. But I suppose there's a couple parents out there buying games for their kids who haven't heard of Mega Man. Also, doesn't the Wii require an ESRB (or otherwise) rating on all games to run (at least on a parental-controlled console)?
It's a nice game but this is definitely were the series got kinda stale. And what's up with the Robot Masters that seemed to get more and more far fetched from this game on. Why Pharaoh Man? It seems only Mega Man 9 had robot masters that each made any sense after Mega Man 3, but the upcoming Mega Man 10 seems to have one or two weird robot masters again. SHEEP MAN??!!
Still Mega Man 4 is worth downloading though!
Dude, Sheep man is a brilliant and such an unexpected choice, and his design is classic ;p You wanna talk terrible robot masters? Then let's talk Hard Man. just terrible look-wise and idea wise. Blizzard Man is horrible as well based on his looks. He's got a pair of Ski's for crying out loud. Anyways, I don't think Mega Man 10 has any duds concerning Robot Masters. Although I'm not crazy about Solar man.

Almost identicle to mine. Although I have a major soft spot for MM1, since it was the first MM I ever played and it brings back alot of memories. Bomb man was also the first MM stage I've ever played and ahhh i just love his tune. Believe it or not, i actually sort of prefer MM1 over MM3...It's just i cant stand the darker, less colorful tone of MM3 and again the Robot Masters are terrible for the most part and are all Orange and Blue besides Snake Man...What was Capcom thinking? It's like hello, variety in color would be nice.
Yet I havent played MM7 yet....And it's been awhile since i've played MM8. I swear if the Music were more mega man-ish it would of made the experience better. instead it's just awful depressing ambient non-mega man sounding trash ;p Worst Sound Track of any MM game if you ask me. I especially can't stand the opening Cut scene(american version) music and Intro stage Music....ugh.
Just hunt down the Anniversary collection. You'll be waiting till 2050 for Nintendo to release Mega Man 4-7 on the VC.

Again, the Anniversary Collection is highly flawed on the GC. I don't see why everyone harps on 4-6. I was just playing MM6 the other day and it's graphically superior to the rest of the series and the music is pretty good. The Mr. X and Wily bosses are cool too. I'm not comparing it to MM2 or anything but it's still a solid game. MM4 is my personal second favorite in the series. Yes, some bosses are a bit lame and Toad Man has a serious AI problem, but it's still fun.

MM6's music was pretty weak imo. The music didn't match the vibe, look or feel of the stages and was completly forgettable if you ask me. It's still a fun game, but it's just so damn uninspired and has the worst line of robot masters ect.
MM4 is fun, but i remember it feeling a tad stale when i rented it back in the day, But I'll be getting it on the VC for sure.
you guys... to me, 5 is prob by far the best of the nes mm games (closely followed by 2). when 5 comes out, it should be a must own for anyone who doesn't have it). it took the series to the greatest heights it ever hit on the nes. developed many of the ideas from previous titles and the level design was amazing. there's a lot of haterade for 5 on the net. honestly, just sit with it for a bit. 5 truly is a great game. 4 is fun. i liked it better than 3 to be honest. the chargeable mm blaster was awesome and this is its first appearance. the levels are a tad derivative at times but it's still kinda fun. mm platforming is honstly some of the best on the nes, prob bested by only to the first power blade game (which was amazing and a ton of fun).
