What a tough choice! I adore both games (and have both on my Wii), so I can't seem to suggest one over the other. Hmm...
Like what's been said before: If platforming goodness is your game, SMW for the win. If action/rpg is more up your alley, it doesn't get better than Link to the Past. Either way, you're getting an A+ quality title.
