Topic: Is Super Mario Picross ever coming to NA VC?

The game has been released in JP and EU for almost two years now on VC. But it still hasn't even been rated by ESRB. I'm starting to worry that Super Smash Bros. might end up with the same fate.

I know, I'm dying to see it. Last Saturday, I sent this to Nintendo:
"I was just wondering if we'll ever see the release of Super Mario Picross here in North America. I've been waiting for that game for a long time and I've been very patient but now I'm wondering if it's even coming at all especially given how long EU has had the game. I really hope Nintendo hasn't forgotten about this game."

And I got the indirect reponse:

I think NOA will never release it over here. Why? I do not understand.

They're going to have to release this game eventually, we've waited long enough. If Europeans can get it, why not us Americans? Maybe this year could see the release of this game?

Its probably cause of low Picross DS sales. Or maybe cause they didnt want to interfere with the at-the-time current Picross DS DLC. If Picross 3D comes and goes and Super Picross isn't out then I'd lose hope for it.

I do think part of it is cause their under the impression Americans aren't that interested in Picross.

I love Picross DS and I'd get Picross 3D also.

No import games have been an milestone game on the Virtual Console, so sometime before the #350 game.

It really is a great game, and the title screen music is one of the most catchiest tunes ever.

Maybe the problem is the fact that it's Picross...it's not the hottest thinng down here, so they probably don't see any reason to bring their game over here due to that.

So far the ESRB has not rated Mario Super Picross, so until it's been rated, there will be no Virtual Console release on this game.

I'm surprised that America hasn't gotten it yet. Even if it isn't that well recieved, its still a good puzzler and is still better than many other games already released on the VC. Nintendo may be withholding it because of the DS game but they should have sold all they are going to sell of the DS game by now.

I'm currently on the last three stages of the Wario game. I'm quite enjoying it.

I really want this to Ive never played a Picross game only the 3D Picross Demo and Ive heard good things about mario's Picross.

Isn't the regular 2D Picross for DS available to play the demo of on the Nintendo Channel? Europe still has it.

No, it isn't. But IIRC, Picross DS was re-released in Europe around the time that Picross 3D came out (at least, the price I saw on Amazon.co.uk dropped like a rock and became available new again). America had no such release.

I eventually gave up on this game hitting VC and took the alternate route to play it. If Nintendo doesn't want my $9, then screw them; I waited more than long enough.

That said, I'd still download it legit IF they randomly released it, not that I have ANY expectation that they ever will.
