1DK_vs_KKMon 23rd Nov 2009 About a week ago, I charged 2000 nintendo points onto my credit card. With the points, I purchased Paper Mario for the N64 (The only reason that I'm mentioning Paper Mario is because I think the game might have been a contributing factor to my general dislike of Link to the Past), and The Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past on the virtual console.I played Paper Mario first, and I absolutely loved playing it! I loved the original and fun gameplay, and the incredible atmosphere and personality that the game had! Then there's Link to the Past.I didn't like how the game rushed you into the story right away. I mean, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time spent some time introducing the controls before you got started on the adventure. The combat is inaccurate and sloppy, too. Is there some sort of strategy to the combat that I don't know about? I also found the game quite dull, at least when I compared it to Paper Mario. The 16-bit graphics also can't express the colorful world of Hyrule quite as well as Ocarina of Time did.I thought Link to the Past would be a worthwhile purchase, but I'm not convinced that it is anymore. Do I have to get to a certain point in the game for it to start being, well, fun? What do you think of Link to the Past? If you think New Super Mario Bros. Wii is hard, try Super Mario Bros. 3.
