homebrew is a technique where people make their own games and apps for game consoles and other devices, even though it risks breaking their system

no, VC and wiiware games cannot be played from one wii to another

if ur wii crashes, send it in for repair (if they can restore the collection of games downloaded on it then they will, but if they can't then they'll try salvaging what they can save from the system)

I think turning the Wii off while playing resets game data, so you don't have to go through the save files manually.

Wii: 0586-8683-7141-4552
MKWii: 4940-9518-0566
SSBB: 4897-8741-8094

The Wii has an auto-save function for VC games. So long as you exit out to the Wii Menu instead of just shutting the Wii off in the middle of playing your game, it will save your place (almost like a snapshot of exactly where you were in the game) so that when you start playing it next time, you can just pick up where you left off. Therefore, if you never reset the game, it's like you've never shut it off.

To get out of the buzzy-beetles-as-turtles mode, it's the same as it was on the NES: reset the game. The option is available in your home menu.

np, it took some getting used to myself. eventually you get tired of the beetles and just want to stomp koopas again.

Clarification: Reseting the game will NOT get you out of buzzy-beetle mode. You must delete the SMB1 save file (not the SM1 channel).

It's not quite true that you must delete the save file to return the game to normal. Reseting won't get you out of this mode, but you can simply turn off your Wii completely when you're playing SMB (so literally just press the power button when you're on a level, don't go to Wii pause screen). When you power up the Wii and select SMB you will see Koopas again. Honest. I've done this today.

is this a bug? resetting through the Home menu has always worked fine for me.

Okay. My way is true. Your way is also true.

I just ask the buzzy beetles nicely to go away. We have a rapport.

Come on, friends,
To the bear arcades again.
