Can I half-hijack this discussion and suggest some old-school titles for the Virtual Arcade? How long must we wait before semenal classics such as Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Frogger and Asteroids are available?

Since no one said it yet, I'm hoping for Jet Force Gemini. (even though chances are low, but still)

Don't forget about the new Ghostbusters game for the Wii, PS3, and 360 too!

JTC-Pingas

Super Mario Kart (was rated by OFLC but ESRB should rate it soon)
Yoshi's Island (overdue and way better than Yoshi's Story)
Sonic & Knuckles (way overdue and needs to include lock-on)
EarthBound (won't have to play with the ROM anymore)
Chrono Trigger (DS remake was out for a while and a VC release would be good)
Super Smash Bros (already released in Japan for 4 months already)
Star Fox (overdue and FX emulation should not be hard for Nintendo)

But would you download them even if they did end up releasing them?

Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!

AUnkownFuture

After burner 2 (Virtual console Arcade or Mega Drive)
Super Hang-On (VCA or MD)
StarFox SNES

I have a list of games I woud love to see:
Starwars Trilogy Arcade: I know the limitations of the VC will most likely keep it from happening but I can dream can't I
Moonwalker (Arcade and Genesis): Hey I actually liked these games and they would be good tributes to the King of Pop himself and if they were to release it, it better have Thriller!
Earthbound: Never played and I want to see what all the hype is about and its too expensive to buy a copy for the SNES.
Any Final Fantasy: I know they've been confirmed for America, but where are they!
Starfox: We all want it.
Street Fighter (Arcade): I think it's overdue seeing the original Street Fighter released as a downloadable game.
Contra: Why do we not have this one!, we have the second and third one so why do we not have the orginal
Duck Hunt: Is it that hard to make the Wii Remote the Gun!
I'll add more later, I'm in a hurry right now!

I recently picked up a Genesis with a few games. Every gamer should play NBA JAm tournament edition. Shame Acclaim doesn't exist anymore and the game has a dated, expired NBA Liscense.

Smileoscar

Final Fantasy I,IV & VI
Ducktales 1 & 2
The Simpsons Arcade Game
Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers
Aladdin SNES
Earthbound
And tbh I'd rather have Starfox released on wiiware with just better graphics.
Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse

I hear its amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on hari-kiri rock!!! I NEED SCISSORS!!! 61!!!

Donkey Kong 64 (You can play the the classic DK on that, and a game called Jetpac)

Is the original DK included arcade-quality? That might sell me on this...when it becomes available of course!

Its an arcade port so it should be.

And as for my choices, I'd like to see games that are good but unknown by many. The type of game that would surprise a lot of people if it appeared on the VC.

Anyone else interested in Illusion of Time/Gaia? Super Putty and Putty Squad? Plok!?

From what I remember, the version of Donkey Kong included in DK64 is much easier than the arcade original.

I'll gladly have Illusion of Gaia!

No settable difficulty, huh? I'm really confused as to why we haven't already seen Nintendo VCA releases, frankly. Mario Bros and the Donkey Kong games would be automatic purchases for me.

edhe

Faxanadu (NES), Micromachines (NES), EarthBound and Uncharted Waters 2 New Horizons

Exhaust Heat (SNES), Super Hang-on (Mega Drive) and Galaxy 5000 (NES)

Action in New York (Called S.C.A.T. (titter) Special Cybernetic Attack Team in North America) (NES)

And a translated version of Tactics Ogre for the SNES. (I'd probably pay 5000 points for that!)
