I downloaded a few Virtual console games today, and was reminded of something that I've been curious about for a really long time.
It seems during one download, normal Mario runs across the screen hitting blocks until the download is finished, and you can't interact with him at all. Yet during a second, big fire flower Mario runs across the screen, and you can shoot fireballs while your game is downloading.
Is this the pattern? Or is it random? Also, are these the only two downloading animations, or are there more, and I haven't seen them yet? While I'm on the subject, does the one for the DS change from Mario and company filling up the box, to something else? I do like that one, too.
Forgive me if this has been discussed before, just curious ovah heah.
The swimming one is really rare 1 in 1,000,000 I think. I've been lucky enough to see it once though! Also there's one of Super Mario/Luigi (big, but without flower power).
As for the DSi, It's been the same every time I've downloaded something.
I've seen the swimming one once. It was pretty entertaining, but my favourite is the Fire Flower one. I like hitting A while waiting and shooting fireballs. Somehow even minimal interaction like that is satisfying, lol.
