Sadly I neglected any role playing game, there were so many good ones on the C64, but I just don't see how they would translate well to the VC without a keyboard: Zork, Pool of Radiance, Bard's Tale, Ultima, etc.
@Reala - Ghostbusters, but it had scratcy sounding speech - impressive! I thought it was a decent version, after paying £10.00 for the horrible sequel it seemed even better. I agree about Dizzy and Trap door.
Just remembered, should mention 'Kickstart 2: the construction set', I played that a lot as well... @AmorousBadger, yes Turrican was excellent!
I DEFANOOTLEY want Mayhem in Monsterland to be on VC, but, since the Commodore 64 is a new system to me(and there are a lot of games there), I would need to check the backlog in order to see what games I would really like.
Turrican, Creatures 2 (and the first one, although the sequel is much better), Werewolves of London, Mercenary, Wasteland, Great Giana Sisters (unlikely but funny if it happened), Laser Squad, and some of the Dizzy series, at least Treasure Island and Magicland.

Actually can anyone tell me why there's Speedball screenshots in the VC section of this site? I'd love to see Speedball 2 on the VC so if there's shots of the first game does that mean it has been announced? I hope so, VC needs some Bitmap Bros greatness.
Unfortunately 2 of my favorite (read: favorite, not necessarily great) C64 games are both licensed titles -- Zorro and The Goonies -- and would be rather unlikely to ever come to VC. I would be happy with something as simple as Jumpman or Jumpman Jr, and Ghostbusters would be nice (though i tend to prefer the Sega Master System version even though the C64 version is the one we played obsessively as kids).
