So I came here with a few complaints which while I still think are valid, but truth be told, VC is a great service, with tons of great games. I don't know where I read it from first, but it's true, I do want a few more games a month but there are still tons of games I haven't even bought yet, so this is me changing my tune.

Yes, I'd like more games that I want to buy but for now, I'll treat it like any other game console, they come out when they come out, that's that. On that note games I'd like to see but might not ever.

Aladdin
Road Rash
Beavis and Butthead
Uniracer
Extreme G
Chrono Trigger
Spiderman Maximum Carnage
Spiderman Vs Kingpin

Guarantee the possibility of my avatar becoming sentient and destroying us all, please. If it's possible, I should probably stock up on water and Spam or something and lock the doors, right?

Before the Wii came out I was very excited about the virtual console, I envisioned a huge repository that would literally include every single first party title for every Nintendo console along with all the best 3rd party games.
While in this respect it has failed to live up to my expectations, I realise that this is because my expectations were far too high. What we do have, while being far from perfect, is still a great service with scores of absolute classics.

We have 300 games on the service and and as much as people like to criticize the selections many of those titles are classics or were highly regarded at the time of launch. Not to mention that we have several import games that never made it here (US). I think the service is great and as far as my expectations I didn't foolishly create some secret fantasy in my mind. It's like the people that complained that they thought the Wii was going to have incredibly accurate motion sensing and then were disappointed with what they got. I got the Wii at launch, but not because I had some insane expectations but because I was intrigued by how it worked and let met tell you that first afternoon that I spent playing Wii Sports with my family was awesome and impressed the heck out of me with how well the motion-sensing worked.

Yeah, you can't really argue that the service is bad because in truth it's got a huge selection of great, classic games already. It's just when you're a diehard retro gamer, like I am, it's easy to get frustrated at the rediculously slow pace at which games are currently being added to the service. I agree, though, that it shouldn't be reason enough to judge the service as a whole. VC ROCKS!!

Future Wii purchases:
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid: Other M
Zelda Wii
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Sin and Punishment 2

EA - Have they released any VC games? (Personally I'd love to see the 2nd and 3rd games on the VC).

Extreme G

ACCLAIM published this game (PROBE - an ACCLAIM studio developed it - they no longer exist (bankruptcy)[/Acclaim]

Chrono Trigger

Available on the DS, although I wouldn't put it past Square-Enix to release Chrono Trigger "Classic" without the monster training, interface et al found on the DS version

I've had good fun browsing, buying and playing old games from the Virtual Console, but often I'm disappointed at what we're given most weeks, but the anticipated games - Super Smash Bros (we have it in Europe)? Mario Kart? I don't care much for these, and would rather see more obscure games like some of the ones in your list.

I think I have enough games for now anyway...

Can't argue with Ocarina for 7 quid ($10?)

I think the VC service is great!
I bought Majora's Mask for $10!
I just wish there was more N64 games on the VC.
