Topic: BO Zombies Tactics

I'm good at BO multiplayer, but I'm terrible at zombies and I'm not sure why. If you guys want to help me out or discuss tactics then by all means, here is the place to do it. When I play by myself I literally die by level 4. Last night I was playing co-op with this guy and even though me and the other teammate kept dying, he did everything by himself and was amazing. He had crazy weapons that I don't even know how to get. My problem is, I've never played zombies before BO, and I'm having a hard time learning what I should be doing, since the game gives you no guidance. Any help?

First of all: practice makes perfect. Since you just started playing, you probably don't know what kinds of things you can do or which rooms have what in them (and so on). After you play it a lot, you'll start learning where to go, what to buy, what not to do, and all that stuff. If you have a headset, it also helps to ask the other players about what you should be doing. If you don't have one, or haven't played with anyone who has one, don't sweat it. You will learn by doing, even if you can't communicate.

Here are a few basic tips to help you get going:

1. Know what tools you have at your disposal. You always start out with a M1911 pistol, a knife, and 2 grenades. These are good tools to get you through the early rounds, but you'll have to start buying other weapons soon.
2. Points are a necessity, so you should try using tactics that net you more points. You get 60 for normal kills, 50 for grenade kills, 100 for headshot kills, and 130 for every knife kill. Every hit you land on a Zombie that isn't fatal gives 10 points.
3. Make good use of power up drops. Reload before getting a Max Ammo, use your knife and burst fire your guns during Insta-kill, and try to kill as many Zombies as possible while Double Points is active.
4. Buy perks, especially Juggernog. Helps a lot.
5. Only revive other players when you feel safe. If you see a hoarde of Zombies coming your way, it may be better to run.
6. Watch your back. It can be easy to get ambushed if you're not paying attention to your surroundings.
7. Stick together. Straying away from your team can get you killed more often than not.

Hope I helped at least a little

8. Don't open any doors during the first few rounds.
9. You don't have to be looking at the barrier to repair it.

I'm sorry if this is long, but it's very helpful!

Well if you're trying to survive in Kino Der Toten, I can help with this strategy that I do. Here's what you do: On the first round, shoot a zombie 3 times with your M1911 pistol (you'll have to shoot a few more bullets for the few more rounds till you move on), and then knife them, you get 120 points everytime you get a knife kill, let the zombies come out of the windows sometimes as you can get some power ups like Max Ammo or Double Points that way. Repeat the process till round 4, and then book the starting place, you can go either up or down, I would choose the up route, just hope that the Mystery Box is in that route, if it isn't just get a gun on the wall, I recommend you buy the MP40 (if you went up), it is in the second door you open in the up route. If a zombie dog round comes, just crouch down into a corner and shoot 'em, never stand in the middle of an area, as the dogs can sneak up and get you from behind. When you reach the theater room (the main room in the map), 2 people cover the 2 windows on the wall, while 2 other people on your team cover the big door you just came out of, repeat the process until you and your teammates get enough points to upgrade a gun into the Pack-A-Punch machine (which is 5000 points), once everyone has enough, throw a grenade at some zombies and hopefully you will get a slow moving crawler, once you get a crawler, turn on the power and activate the teleporter and link up the portal. Simply upgade your weapon in the teleporter room. Once you're back, kill the crawler, and the fun now begins. Make sure to buy some Juggernog in the Juggernog machine when you get enough to buy it, it is very essential for survivng. Speed Cola is also highly recommend in the later rounds. If there's lots of zombies coming after you, just run around in a large circle around the stage in the theater so you can round up a horde of zombies, shooting at them while you do this. If it gets too hectic, get out of the theater and go the long way by the same way you got to the theater, this keeps the zombies in route following you. When you get to the first door you've opened, activate the trap in that area so all of the zombies coming after you will get zapped and die. That's all I really have to say for my strategy, good luck!

Wow, thanks for all the help. I'll try those tips once I get to know where everything is.

Yeah, instead you have to wiggle a joy stick or other movement peripheral and press a few buttons. My hands have formed frowny faces just thinking about it.
