Unfortunately @cheaptrick you cant always get what u want when u want it.
Nintendo are a fantastic company that have always delivered and yes they mistakes but who doesn't.
If you dont like it and can't be patient then don't own the console. Jesus it's only 5 months old give it some time.
I think if someone needs to grow up someone needs to stop swallowing all the things Nintendo been feeding to us even if it's pure horse poopies. If you don't have the strength to criticize Nintendo then I strongly disagree with you. People here are waiting since Monday for nothing. I shared their pain & disappointments. If you fail to criticize Nintendo when they need to be criticized then I strongly disagree with you.
watch the profanity, please, as per our Rules, and keep in mind that it's possible to disagree and not attack others — TBD
Yes, Nintendo never explicitly stated the countdown was simply for the launch lineup announcement. They were not dishonest nor have they gone back on their word. We can still get the update this week. Still, it must be noted that, regardless of whether it was intentional or not, the teaser was poorly handled. They have PR who do keep an eye on forums and the responses to their fb page so they could've clearly seen that people were misunderstanding what the countdown was for. They really had no reason to be so vague in the first place. I'm not whining about it, I couldn't care less right now what day it releases this week as I'm not even in town and able to download it. But I do think people have a right to be annoyed, there's no reason for Nintendo to be vague about any of this. No, it's not the end of the world, nor should it be a reason to disown Nintendo, but these little things do eventually add up. Don't get me wrong, I think Nintendo is a great company and I am a fairly devoted fan but I think fans do have a right to complain when the company makes stupid decisions.
Once again, I personally don't see this as a big deal, but I understand that to some it is irritating. And who knows, if I was home with my system I might be irritated too.
Feel free to add me on the Nintendo Network: ShadJV

I don't see how a delay of a few days is the slightest bit a problem and can affect anyone. Seriously people need to take a look into real problems in the world before they start complaining. And at the end of the day it's an update that speeds your console up by about 10 seconds...
Complaining about complaining is worse, in my opinion.

You're right. Regardless of whether it's intentional or not, it was poorly handled. It added to more confusion for countless of people waiting & waiting for nothing since Monday. It's a very irresponsible act on behalf of Nintendo. They're obligated to clarify certain things particularly when they're the ones who caused the confusion.
This belief that Nintendo owes us something is crazy. Waiting isn't fun, but the update will come. They haven't failed me because it isn't on my schedule. And the whole thing with that teaser on the Wii U Facebook page totally teased everyone. I feel teased, not let down. Everyone else here was sharing opinions so I figured I'd join in.
