Topic: Wii Fit Meter Question

I bought a meter last January and activated it so I got the game for free. I recently lost my meter and ordered another one online. When I get the new one and register it, will I lose the free game?

I think I can deregister the lost meter and add the new one, but I'm afraid the game will no longer be free.

Or, should I make a new Mii character, register the new meter and start over? I'm hoping I don't have to do that, but I will if I must.

Thanks for any help.

I'm pretty sure the game is still yours without the Fit Meter. At least, I didn't see anything like that in the terms.

Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)

I have deactivated the meter for my Mii (which i originally registered it with) and reactivated it for my wife and the software is still free.

To blessed to be stressed.

You can simply de-register your old Fit Meter and register your new one. You don't need to do anything else; nothing else will change.

Well I know people who bought the meter, registered it, and returned it to the store. So basically they get the game for free and I'm pretty sure they are still playing it today. Go figure

Yeah the registration is a one-off thing. It's not clear to me if the Wii Fit Promo will be available in the eShop forever for future downloads, but I expect they'd just give us a code for the regular retail game if that ever changed.
