I was pondering the possibility earlier of more Gamecube games coming to Wii U in a similar fashion to Wind Waker. Of course, I don't want the market to be flooded with remasters, but if Nintendo were to bring more, which do you think would be most suited to the Wii U's control schemes? Bear in mind, this isn't necessarily what you would 'want' to see as such, but what would work well mechanically.
Let's start with the obvious: Super Monkey Ball 1&2, using the Gamepad's accelerometer.
I would say either Eternal Darkness or Battalion Wars because there is no strategy game (and the gamepad makes perfect sense for one) plus I think you could do some really amazing things with the Sanity effects on the gamepad.

Currently playing - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
I'd say Pikmin or Pikmin 2, but those are unlikely as there are already Wiimakes of those.
I could see Pikmin and Pikmin 2 being released on one disk, and using Pikmin 3's engine. They would be graphicly enhanced, and you could get bonus content if you had saves for all 3 Pikmin games
I don't see the original Pikmin releases being remade or remastered anytime soon. Too minor of a franchise to justify a heavy expenditure on a system that can already play both titles via backwards compatibility and has a fine sequel of its own.
If something ambitious happens again in regard to this franchise on the Wii U, I would expect it to be Pikmin 4. Even that is rather a long-shot this generation as far as I'm concerned when there are core Nintendo franchises in need of attention and with Nintendo almost going at it alone, encouraging experiments in new IP to try to plug holes in their lineup that aren't being filled by 3rd party publishers like would be the ideal case.
Yeah, since we just know it wouldn't work with half power for FLUDD mapped to one trigger and full power mapped to another.
Can't we put to rest this claim at this point? Super Mario Sunshine merely uses one trigger for two buttons. It doesn't rely in any way on analog triggers and in no way, shape, or form is the lack of analog triggers an issue in rereleasing it, remastering it, etc.
In fact if you use that program that we can't mention the nature of or its name around here, you can set this up precisely as described.
no seriously, why is this not a thing? Like, they had the GBA/GCN connectivity thing and now that they have a reasonable version of that, none of those ideas are being brought back.
