Topic: Which game are you getting with MK8?

I don't know. I own all of them already... :/

I'm gonna get Pikmin 3. I've never played a Pikmin game before

I live in NA also, so only have the four to choose from. Being that I already have NSMBU and WWHD, I guess I'll finally be getting Pikmin 3.

So my options are Monster Hunter 3, Game & Wario, The Wonderful 101, Sonic Lost World, Mario & Sonic or Wii Party U. I never really got Monster Hunter, I'm not really into Game & Wario and I played the W101 demo and wasn't really overwhelmed. Mario & Sonic and Wii Party U are probably the least interesting of the bunch. So I guess that leaves Sonic............. or maybe not....

Torn between Sonic and W101 ATM, don't know which one I'll go for.

I couldn't decide either.
A random generator picked it for me. I sorted out what games I already own and what I really don't need cought Nintendo Land cought.
Either MH, G&W, M&S or WF101. The winner was M&S.

It's actually pretty good choice. My frinds and me tend to play this kind of game sometimes. ^^

I'm in NA and since I already have NSMBU and WWHD (which is fantastic btw, if anyone is considering it then you should get it!) it's either Pikmin 3 or Wii Party U... yeah, going for Pikmin even though I don't care for it at all.

Hypothetically, if I wasn't in NA, I would totally get W101 or Nintendo Land.

Ok, so I played most of it and here's what I make of it.

If you never played a pikmin, buy pikmin 3. That is the first stop.
Second, if you have no experience in zelda, or even in wind waker, buy that one.
Third, you can never go wrong with wonderful 101 ever. Let me repeat that in caps lock. EVER. That game is brilliant, and the criticism I have seen reviewers put against it seem only to stem from an ongoing feeling that you need something to criticize upon in order to get your reputation as a reviewer up. The various critique I have seen is negligible, or mostly just nitpicking; the game is a star player and the fact that it's so new and/or different is the only reason I expect reviewers to unjustifiably be not as enthusiastic about it as this game seems to deserve. Full price on this game is still more than worth it.

If you have all of this, but no monster hunter, shame on you. You should have that game and play it to death. However, the dedication and depth may not be for you, so just realize there's so much depth that it takes lots of your gaming hours to get you to utilize it.

There's monster hunter, wind waker, 101, pikmin to choose from. You can not go wrong with it. I have played wind waker back in the gamecube days but cannot wait to play it again. I own pikmin, 101, monster hunter and me and spanjard have played much of wii party as well - though that one only works as a multiplayer game.

I am buying wind waker, because I already have the rest. If you haven't got 101, this would be the day you can regret not playing it earlier for such little amount of cash as 60 bucks. If you have no pikmin, get your head out of your ass and see the sun for a first. No monster hunter? See you online for the next year or so.

NSMBU I guess, even though I don't really care for it....but it's better than Wii Party U...lol

Hi everyone, I live in North America and already own WindWaker and New Super MArio Bros U, in fact Best Buy messed up and packaged it wrong so it was actually the copy of NSMBU that came with Super Luigi as well. I am a single player so Mario Party U doesn't really interest me and I have tried a past Pikmin, the original I believe, and although I didn't get too far into it, very quickly it became apparent that it wasn't my type of game. So I was hoping someone who has played Pikmin 3 before can tell me how close are the games, Pikmin to Pikmin 3, is there still a time limit to figure it all out and get off the planet? Otherwise I am not sure what I am going to do? Is there any difference in playing Windwaker from a download or a disk, like is one more stable, faster load times stuff like that?
Thanks everyone, also the gentleman or woman above who was leaning toward SMBU above because he could just grab the gamepad and start playing without worrying about the tv does have a very good point.

Oh and if I lived in Europe, I would get Sonic Lost World, loved the demo.

Now I'm kinda torn between Pikmin and NSMB:U. Oh well I have time to figure it out.

Totally agree with you. Wonderful 101 is easily worth its full price, let alone the prices you see it at now and this promo should be the perfect excuse for those European people on the fence. Not just a new IP, but a new game experience too, and those don't always go hand in hand. I guess reviewers did not like having the steep learning curve and difficulty, two staples of any Kamiya game, so they should know better.

But I don't have MH. I got burned out on the Wii game after playing it for 100 hours. So the Wii U one is not bound to change my mind.

As for your choices:

I would put NSMBU in third place. It is a good game, but you don't sound too enthusiastic. Now, Pikmin is new to you, and it is a charming, fun, beautiful game. I don't like RTS games at all (or most strategy games) but I love Pikmin, maybe because it barely feels like one. About W101, if you don't mind the difficulty and learning curve, pick that one instead. The game has humour, creativity and interesting deep gameplay in spades. This one comes from the same guy who made Okami, Viewtiful Joe and Bayonetta, and it shows.

As for me, I will get Wind Waker. I only have the four games to choose from, of which I already have Mario and Pikmin 3. I am actually interested in WW, but never got to buying it, so this is my chance.

Most of the NA choices are garbage, I don't really want any of them, or I'd just pick one like NSMB and sell it.
