Or if it's even going to be available at all? They might not bother with it.

Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero remakes. (still the best resident evils ever made)
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Super Mario Sunshine
Luigi's Mansion

That's all I want. Please make this happen Nintendo!

That's a good list. I also like Eternal Darkness.

I sadly lost Super Mario Sunshine, but otherwise I still have a pretty decent collection of gamecube games. So I'm not sure that I would download too many, personally. Of course, I still hope that Nintendo does bring gamecube games to the Wii U VC.

The game that I would really like to have is The Simpsons: Hit & Run. I miss that game. It was really fun. And it really nailed the difficulty, in my opinion. Going from moderately easy to pretty hard. But I'll probably wind up buying a gamecube copy before hell freezes over and it gets added to the Wii U VC library.

You wouldn't rather have the Wii version of those games?

I'd go for Wind Waker, Mario Sunshine, Eternal Darkness, and F-Zero for sure. I'm sure there's others but they're not coming to mind.

Nintendo seems to like money. Emulation certainly isn't hard for them, so it's basically charging money while using very little resources to get stuff out. It's instant cash. Even if Nintendo has trouble getting stuff out that utilizes analog triggers (which in and of itself is weird) then they could still release most games on Gamecube. Most didn't use the analog triggers. Just look at Wind Waker.

As for what games I'd get, I'd go for the stuff that is a bit expensive, all things considered. And somewhat hard to find. Maybe Fire Emblem, MGS: Twin Snakes and Eternal Darkness.

Looks like Nintendo got you. Hook, line, and sinker. You would rather purchase a game again for the convenience of not having to go into a mode that is contained on the same system. I'm sure Nintendo will be happy to hear.

On a serious note though, Wii Mode should not even exist. You should be able to boot up your Wii games from the Wii U menu like you could Gamecube games on the Wii. VC and WiiWare games too. Perhaps Nintendo will fix this in the future, but knowing them, probably not.

You guys, do you know how hard it is to find Metroid Prime Trilogy now!? I got my the day it came out and it was seriously not even a couple of monthes and then you couldn't get it anymore at a store. And if you want a new one off of amazon then it is like $200. I would definetly get at least the first MP if this whole GCN VC thing means that they will be in HD. HD Metroid Prime... umm COUNT ME IN!!!

I got mine months after it was released for $29. It was on sale and there were multiple copies in the game case.

Actually the game was quite cheap and quite common up until Nintendo announced it was being discontinued.

If it's the gamecube version, then it wouldn't be in HD, would it? Wouldn't it go into a "gamecube mode"? Like how the DSi games go into a DS mode on the 3DS? Otherwise it would be a port. And if they port it, they might as well allow you to choose which controller to play with (Wii Remote/Nunchuck, Pro Controller or GamePad).

Well if it's a VC title it's a DLed title which means..... Transferable to the WiiUs successor and knowing how things are going ATM, the WiiUs successor won't play wii games

Yeah, I guess all the games you download now on the Wii U eShop will only work in the Wii U mode of the next Nintendo console lol.

Chill guys. Ever thought that some people don't have the game yet? I was just saying that some who don't have it might want to get the VC versions of some GC games instead of the WiiMake versions for whatever reason. It depends on the pricing and how the GC VC titles run obviously but if the games cost about the price of the indie titles on the eShop (say, $10-20AU or something) and had the ability to play on the GamePad without the TV and a MiiVerse community surrounding it?... that'd be a pretty damn good deal.

Especially given the cheapest I've seen the Prime Trilogy, which lacks all of those potential features but includes WiiMote support, is around $30-40AU in bargain bins.

If the choice is to download it from the eShop and have it appear on the home menu with some kind of MiiVerse and GamePad support... or have to track down a copy of the Trillogy and potentially pay about the same without those features and have to wait for an extra mode to load? ... yeah, I can see why some might want to do that. Does that mean I've been conned? I don't think so.... and who said I already owned it? Or even that I was suggesting that I'd buy the VC version? Hell, I was just suggesting one possible reason why someone might want to get the VC version.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about re-buying a VC game on the Wii U that you already bought on the Wii just so you could play it without Wii Mode.
