gender neutral or sex neutral?
you can be gender neutral as male or female. gender just describes behaviour or am i missing soemthing here? (not native english speaker)
You're closer than anyone else has been in this thread. Link is technically masculine in behavior, but as he rarely brings up actual gender in any debate, he can be considered agender. Again Skyward Sword is the main counter-argument, and even that is questionable.
Personally, the Link i've always wanted to see is from the Twilight Princess game box or from Smash Bros Brawl. He looks EPIC in that image. Too bad Nintendo never made Link look like that
Nintendo needs to make the Zelda series dark. And by that I mean Majora's Mask. The game was light hearted on the surface, but it was really dark when you got to the core of the game.
For some reason, I get a feeling that all of the sudden people have somehow had their memory wiped regarding JP developers and their love for pretty-boy and androgynous male characters.
This has already been covered ad nauseum over in the main Zelda U thread.
However, I'll just say that I find it mildly hilarious that everybody has made such a big deal about Link's androgyny in the Zelda U trailer, but yet I haven't seen a single person mention how feminine she appears in Hyrule Warriors:

Gender neutral that would be a strange twist for the series nothing story changing (maybe) but a weird way to go and imagine how all the other nintendo characters would feel around him, her, it the next smash could be awkward. I'd rather have boy link who we are all used to or female for something different but gender neutral how would he use the bathroom?
Capcom at E3: Guys we're sorry about how we've been treating Mega Man so we're gonna make it up to you by releasing the Mega Man Cancelled Collection with all the titles we cancelled in the condition they we're in just before we pulled the plug. Now who wants Street Fighter X Monster Hunter?
