@CanisWolfred rusty pup is still active. You have to lurk the devs Twitter to keep up. He hasn't said it's going to be moved from the wiiu to the nx tho I suspect it will. It's going to be a bit before its done.
Also, I redid the numbers, and the percentage of games SKTTR listed that I didn't know about beforehand (or didn't know was coming to the Wii U, at least) was indeed 40% exactly. No decimals. Neat.
There's a possibility for some games to still get cancelled or moved over to the NX. But these are all Wii U games that are either in development, or have been announced/planned to be on Wii U some time.
As for Xeodrifter, Renegade Kid doesn't release all their Wii U games in Europe, the focus is on 3DS games, but I wouldn't rule it out. It should be easy enough to get it overseas.
You didn't know 40% of the good games!
If I listed all games, incl. the not so stellar ones, and maybe even the shovelware, then you would know about even less %-wise, no wonder people think Wii U is dead. No-one knows what's still upcoming, and there's still lots of additions and surprise releases almost every week.
@SKTTR I know Xeodrifter is on Wii U in NA, it never came to Europe however. I remember last year when Jools Watsham talked about the PEGI certification process, but never gave an update after that. It did come out on the PS4 in Europe. Little strange, but whatever at this point.
Well, I just meant to say that A Hat in Time and Little Devil Inside aren't really confirmed, chances are very slim that those games will appear on Wii U, so I'd put them in a ''maybe'' category instead. Just don't get your hopes up.

Yeah, indeed that's strange. It suggests that Renegade Kid doesn't think to make enough money in Europe with his Wii U games. Much like Nicalis there's a 50% chance. They won't please their Nintendo fans in Europe, they're rather small and very US-centric companies. I think Renegade Kid should have made the "Mutant Mudds + Super Challenge" collection for Europe, because the first one, the original Mutant Mudds was only released on 3DS in Europe.
As for the maybe-games, well, I sorted out a good bunch already. If there are indeed official cancellations, like what happened to Zombie Vikings by Zoink!, then I would get them off the list.
Well, no. Even out of the ones you listed, I can tell a lot of them won't actually be good, or at the very least won't appeal to me (mostly because of grievous design flaws that are apparent even in their preview material), and even out of that 40% I mentioned, only 2 were actually ones I'll be keeping an eye on from now on. My general number of Wii U games to look forward to has largely remained unchanged. However, it's still nice to know more of what's to come, albeit mostly for trivia's sake. Plus, I had been meaning to update my personal list of eShop games to look forward to - a burden that your lists will surely lighten - and all that looking I did before was quite enlightening, since I got to read a lot of dev blogs. ReVeN still looks like crap, IMO, but its situation has been quite fascinating. Anybody with "ambitious ideas" outta learn from their mistakes, and I hope they don't get burned too badly when all is said and done - it'd be a shame if they quit the game biz right after earning their degree from the School of Hard-Knocks...
It's also fascinating to see A.N.N.E., Chromophore, Earthlock, Paradise: Lost, Cryamore, Noitu Love Devolution, and a bunch of other games that had gone through all kinds of trials and hardships, but seem to be passing with flying colors at every (hairpin) turn. I definitely can't wait to see how those ones turn out at the finish line. I'm tempted to throw Hex Heroes on there, too, but mostly out of curiousity. Gameplaywise (and especially art-wise) it doesn't seem like it'd appeal to my tastes. I'm still rooting for its devs, though.
Noitu Love came out on PC the same year as Smash Bros. Brawl. Chromophore had a kickstarter and entirely different name before the Wii U was out. Indie game development is crazy.
Especially Chromophore, that game has been sort of a disaster in terms of getting anyone to actually help finish it.

Yeah, I read through all that while eating my supper. It was very interesting read, albeit a bit heartbreaking, but hopefully their other game (which looks awesome) helps bring in the funds they need to finish it.

Well, with "good" I mean games that have some value to them, games I would rate from 7/10 upwards. Yes, there could be a 6 and a 5 among them when/if they arrive, but I certainly left out all the stinkers for this list.
What two games are on your radar now?

ReVeN is a Super Metroid clone, it may not be as good as the original itself, or Axiom Verge or AM2R for that matter, but the early material generates lust for more. They worked on it for several years, so it can turn out good.

Most of those games were confirmed to be in development in official Nintendo Wii U eShop trailers. I guess only developers with a Wii U dev kit have a chance to appear on the official Wii U eShop video reels.
I'm tempted to throw Hex Heroes on there, too, but mostly out of curiousity. Gameplaywise (and especially art-wise) it doesn't seem like it'd appeal to my tastes. I'm still rooting for its devs, though.
Hex Heroes didn't appeal to me at first (like many other games) but after all its the gameplay that counts - and so I eventually opened up to all graphic styles, because for a core gamer and game tester, it's more about good design and a polished gameplay experience anyway. The previews and betas look decent, and the developers have a history of making good games. It's been taking years though, as Hex Heroes was one of the very first 20 or so Wii U eShop games announced (along with Chromophore, which was Two Brothers back then). I'd like to get an update on the Wii U development status of those and a few more.
@SKTTR - Actually, a lot of ReVeN's dev time was apparently spent on another game that they hoped would help fund ReVeN, but they were simply too ambitious/ambiguous with their plans for it, and now it's just plunged them into two development hells.
Also, Hex Heroes doesn't sound appealing to me because it sounds like a fairly basic RTS that relies heavily on player communication between a team of 4 or 5 players in order to succeed. I hate team games with the passion of a thousand suns. I could go on all day about all the successes I could've had that were ultimately sabatoged by relying on other people. A system that requires cooperation between strangers is a system destined to fail. So therein I say that Hex Heroes is....simply not my kind of game.
Now, to answer your first question:
Hue - It looks like a genuinely creative puzzle-platformer. I'm so cynical of that genre, so I usually ignore those kind of games, but this one's resonating with me. I'm not sure if it's still coming to the Wii U, though, but I might just grab it on the PS4 in a couple days, anyways.
Aqua Moto Racing Utopia - How did I miss this?! I love Wave Race, and this looks perfect!
Vega Prime Retrograde and Windscape also seem interesting, but neither has enough concrete info yet for me to get excited. I've got them written down so I can check up on them from time to time, though.
Considering how long games take to make these days, and the NX is already on the horizon...I'd be worried if there were more Wii U games coming out soon. The NX needs a good launch, man. Put that best foot forward, Ninty.
Yes because retail games are the only ones worth playing, no?
I don't think people realize how many fewer retail games come out compared to a decade ago. Gamestop should be thankful that publishers will peak up indie games sometimes because otherwise it would look like such a joke (even compared to usual :V).
