It has bother Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts 3 coming to it. I wouldn't say it's worse right now.
Which are multiplatform and not out yet with not a lot else is coming out on it either, that's like saying you should get the Wii U for FPS as it's got 2 Call Of Duty games on it. At least Wii U has 2 high profile exclusives coming.
Not being exclusive doesn't mean it doesn't count. I bought the 360 because it had JRPGs I wanted to play among many other games. None of them were exclusive, but it didn't matter, it was on the console I wanted and I got to play them. The Wii U may have two exclusives coming to it, but it's only two, and there's not much else in other genres to play either.
Which comes back to my original point: The Wii U needs games in every genre.

I didn't say it didn't count, but why get an Xbone when it offfers a lot less than PS4 in terms of JRPG at least with the Wii U it's offering a merit of exclusives . Whilst the Xbone has 2 games coming with no specifc date for them and Wii U has 2 coming out this year.

I would chose an Xbox One for games that are exclusive to it that I would prefer in addition to all the WRPG's (I like WRPG better than JRPG) and some of the JRPG's. Games like Quantum Break, Halo, GOW, and Forza are games I would prefer to have. It really comes down to just whatever games suit the individual better.

Well in terms of RPGs in general its about the same which is how most people look at it. Plus stuff like Halo, Quantum Break, and Fable Legends.

The Wii U DOES have alotta platformers and there's nothing wrong with that because most of the platformers for Wii U are pretty freaking amazing...
But we REALLY need JRPGS and FPS.
The overabundance of FPS and the underuse of FPS w/ Wii Motion Plus is one of the biggest failings of last gen imo. Honestly, if Ubisoft just wants to do downloadable titles, that's fine, just give me Blood Dragon or something.

X is not confirmed for this year and I honestly wouldn't bet on it coming this year either. SMTxFE is not coming this year. That game was barely in development last year and Atlus has had other priorities since.
And actually, the Xbox One has about as many exclusives, if not more than the PS4, at least in other genres. And I believe Microsoft actually aquired a Japanese company fairly recently, so there's more to come from them than you'd think.

They have both been given loose and vague 2014 release dates and SMTXFE started development in 2012.
I don't know why you keep talking about other genres when I commented on your statement about if you want JRPG then get a Xbone.
Ah, I didn't see that X was recently confirmed for 2014. But SMTxFE still has no release date at all that I can find.
As for the other genres part, I see I misread your previous post, I thought you were referring to the overall worth of the Xbox One, not just in relation to JRPGs.
Hopefully, Namco will give us some Tales love, in the future, but until then, we'll be hoping for Squeenix to throw us a bone and living off the occasional, doomed 3rd party offerings, which are still good, but seriously need more love than they get.
FFXV and KH3 both have Tetsuya Nomura's name on them, which makes them worthless (umad).
But it's a popular worthlessness that the Wii U could use, along with some more work from Mistwalker and Monolith and whatever. Even if they're not spectacular AAA titles, the Wii U does need more JRPGs. Persona 4 is not a AAA title, but it is one of the finest JRPGs ever made.
Wii U needs more games in general though, not just JRPGs. Any console should appeal to a wide variety of gamers.
You do realize that Miatwalker isn't an actual developer right, they're more of a scenario house even in their prime mode of the actual development was done by feel plus and AQ.
It's going to be a hard sale getting JRPG makers to jump into the Wii U when most of them seem content to stay in the PlayStation Eco system even pushing the Vita more. They can tty to leverage the 3DS partnerships but most of those games are from atlus.
IG Nintendo wants apart of the JRPG and WRPG market nintendo is going to have to make partnerships with third parties like Sony and Microsoft have.
Its interesting when you realize most of Nintendo's second party guys have deep roots in RPG management.

He's an awful character designer and writer, and unfortunately, quite influential in spite of this. The development cycle of FFXV suggests to me that he's probably a poor director as well. Maybe this is subjective, but yes, I think he's awful.

Yup. There's a lot of creative talent in Mistwalker though. The Last Story proved that Sakaguchi still has it and deserves to be given money and leverage to produce more JRPGs.

Definitely. Which is why Nintendo should be focusing on developing and contracting 3rd parties for new IP like The Last Story and Xenoblade instead of chasing after the big names like FF, Tales, and Persona. The only big name that Nintendo should be aggressively going after is Dragon Quest. Everything else is firmly entrenched in Playstation.

If Nintendo wants a part of any market, they will need better partnerships.

I used to like the old type of JRPG's (Most modern ones I really like are Skies of Arcadia Legends and Radiant Historia).
Don't like the cutscene heavy modern type. (Either that or the story has never been good enough for me to like one yet).
Nintendo has most of the old Square 2D Artists (Made such as Children of Mana which was not very good but it looked fine). They could make something if they just had a decent story handed to them.
I know there's the belt and Zipper memes but I find Nomura to be a really good character desginer when he' refined in more reality. I think most of the kingdom hearts people and the XII 2 and 3 guys look stupid, but the character designers for parasite eve, TWEWY, and XV are pretty great.
As far as development you have to remember that when XV was vereus XIII it had a ton of resources taken away from it by the fact that XIII got delayed so often. Than his staff was further rescued staff got further reduced to help develop 14 which tanked horrdendusly and had to be made from the ground up. Plus working on the kingdom heart spin offs and making character designs for the last two lightning games.
