Topic: Weird things happening with wireless controllers

So, I've recently noticed how unreliable wureless controllers are. Besides the usual input lag I had some things happen to me in smash. While playing on 8-player smash today with my friends, I grabbed a pro controller since it was the only option available (I always use gcn) and tried to move the stock number by pressing on the number and moving the stick left or right. You know, when the arrows appear on top of the stock counter. Well, with the pro controller while holding A on the counter it doesn't stay pressed. After a few seconds of moving stocks, it just stops and the little hand that selects characters appears and moves to the direction I was previously inputting. It also happened with the WiiChuck combination. The odd thing is that it almost only happens in the 8-player smash character select screen. In the 4-player smash screen it only happens like 1% of the times (so it is an issue). I don't know what can I do. Maybe there's interference? I used to have big ssues where inputs would get messed up when I had my modem directly in front of my console. Now it is like 1meter away. I could move it further away if it's necessary. My biggest concern isn't the input lag, it is the weird thing happening on the character select screen. Right now I'm still testing but gameplay seems correct and the issue lies only on the CSS. Note: The gamepad is fine. I've also noted that it is the only lagless controller besides the gcn. Mario maker feels laggy with anything that isn't the gamepad. Too bad you have to stick with it and there is no option for gamecube controllers outside of smash. If anyone has anything to add to this post, I'll really appreciate it.

Might wanna try replacing/charging your batteries. They tend to lag as the battery depletes.

@Waluigi: Both the pro controller and wii mote I used had full battery (based on what the wii u menu says). I asked a friend to try it out for himself but he hasn't answered.

Resync the controllers in the menu.

Just tried that, it still happens. Thanks anyway.

Could someone try to replicate this in their 8-player CSS?

lol forget about it, I was able to replicate it on my friend's console.

I have the same problem. Only thing is I'm lucky enough to have four controllers. The first one I ever got works fine. The one I'm using now has a loose battery cover. I tried tightening the screw but no dice. So I have three other controllers I can cycle between. Player 4 is getting stuck with the defected controller :^)

Also the controller lags and the d-pad is wonky — if you press left to close to the center it registers the up input even though I am not touching up at all. Once again, player 4 is getting stuck with the messed up controller.
