The only thing I noticed that had improved was the higher resolution grass textures. Very disappointing treatment of their most acclaimed franchise.
Probably still get it anyway though, just for the sake of playing on the gamepad.
This is for all intents and purposes just a Wii release with gamepad controls though.
Maybe Twilight Princess will be a launch another console. Can you imagine TP on four consoles!? Also, did anyone else notice Link's giant sword in the wii u Zelda part? And no sheath? What is happening?
I'm surprised it didn't look HD at all. I hope they improve it, or else I might not get it...
That's probably because of the Direct's video stream quality. I also did not see any improvement, but that'll obviously change when Nintendo releases the HD 60fps trailer for the game.
EDIT: That applies to everyone who thinks there was no difference not just @Blue_Blur.
But then again, doesn't look like there were that many upgrades, though. And I hope that Zelda U snippet was a sneek peek at what will be shown at VGA,... hopefully.
@Haru17: Uhhh, thats the canon house on Lake Hylia. It looks different cause it's before the water level rises. Heaven forbid Ninty put enough effort into this to give us a new area!
Still 4 months until release, plenty of time to spruce things up a bit!
Yeah, maybe. Can anyone remember the time between Hyrule Warriors' first announcement and it's release? I remember the original trailer looked so awful it was almost comical, but clearly the game turned out looking fine.
I actually thought it looked quite a bit better though it was hard to tell with the quality of the stream. There were certainly quite a few improvements in texture quality in some of the scenes. I think it'll be clearer how much it has improved once we get a higher resolution version of the trailer. You'd have to also assume that some are also comparing it to the game they remember rather than the game itself.

They revealed it in January I think and by the time E3 rolled around it looked like it did in the final version. So..about the same time. I guess it is possible that we will see an improvement with tP HD, too. The footage was kinda underwhelming tho.
They revealed Hyrule Warriors in December actually. And yeah there was a noticeable difference between what was shown there and how the game looked at E3.

I just watched the trailer on their site and...I don't think it was just because of the stream. There's some new textures and it's obviously upscaled, but that seems to be it T.T
Was it in HD 60fps? Very sure it wasn't, but I'll head over and check it.
FYI, I was talking about when Nintendo releases the trailer in HD 60fps on their YouTube channel. That's where I usually watch trailers again and again and again.
EDIT: Just realized 60fps wouldn't change the way textures look. But still, I'd watch the HD'd trailer on Nintendo's YouTube channel before coming to a sold d conclusion.
