I'm wondering if anyone has ideas if or when A Link to the Past will come to Wii U VC - I have never played it and want to before the 3DS sequel comes out ...
I'd hope sooner than that - I'd like to play the original first - I don't have 10-20 hours to play the original if the new one just came out - so hopefully any week now
I want it on 3DS. I don't have a WIi U yet and, damnit, Zeldas take a good while to complete. I want to use that time on the bus! I'd be happy with a VC release of the GBA version.
If you want to play it now, you could download it from Wii Shop in Wii Mode. You can then upgrade it later when it arrives on Wii U eShop, if you want save states and remote play
What's really weird is this thing called the Wii Channel. It lets you play VC games without having to wait for them to come onto the Wii U VC. Better still, ALttP is there! Why wait?
I too would like to know when this is coming out for Wii U VC or 3DS. 3DS would be preferred though as I have Zelda NES on it as well.
So far there is no word as to when this will come out for the Wii U VC. I suspect that maybe the closer we get to the new 3DS game it will be released. I highly doubt it will come to the 3DS VC since for one thing Nintendo has never said that SNES would come to the the 3DS VC

its on the Wii VC, you could use the Wii U's wii mode to play it~ =3
can i go off topic and ask, -in all seriousness mind you- how come the entire Wii VC library wasn't transferred to the Wii U eshop in one go~? I know they have to add the codes for the save stats, gamepad support as well as their own menu decals but, overall it wouldn't take Nintendo long at all to release them all so they could finally start expanding on other librarys~ -looks at that N64 side which hasn't budged from 21 games since 2010 ;w; and also thinks about the promised GBA games, and Reggies old comments about GCN titles- <--- should be a thread on its own i know~
Well first off there was no comments really about Game Cube titles except that Reggie would like t see them come but that doesn't man they will. And quite honestly I believe that they just don't want to exhaust their VC catalog so soon in the systems life span.

Well, the did make it this month's club nintendo reward...I downloaded it. Great game...on dungeon seven.
Didn't they have it in a Wii U sizzle reel months ago?
where the hell is it? ALBW is a sequel, so people would have wanted to play it BEFORE, not afterward. perfect chance to promote the new game and rake in some VC sales. it's too late now. a picture of the game is even showing in the VC titles coming soon.
the non-release of this one before ALBW is the perfect example of the ineptitude that is nintendo's handling of VC. shameful, for both customers and from a business perspective. *rant over

Firstly, licensing nightmares. Second, the Wii U will get no releases after a while like the Wii. Third, N64 didn't have that many first party titles anyway and don't hold your breath too long on 3rd party games (again, see "licensing nightmare").

You can get free TLoZ Link to the Past until 5 december by 150 coins by Club Nintendo (the service not the mexican magazine). And later only pay $1.50 dlls to get it in Wii U with the only exclusive of Miiverse.
You can play all your Wii games with the gamepad with the last update, only you need to play with wiimote and classic controller because you can´t use the buttones of the gamepad but you can play 90% games more than the eshop because Nintendo never will bring to eshop: Master System, Genesis, Turbografx, NeoGeo, Arcades even N64.
Me gusta jugar videojuegos. Soy de México. Sorry my english grammar. I love the Virtual Console, party and fighting games too.
