Personally would've preferred someone like Cecil or Terra, but the more I think about it the more I'm happy with Cloud. FF is a legendary franchise(and one with plenty of history with Nintendo, even if VII itself doesn't), and why not use the most popular character from the most successful installment? Plus this hopefully means that the FFVII remake might show up on the NX(especially if Squeenix's teasing is any indication)
I didn't expect or really want Cloud in Smash, but I'll be a monkey's uncle if I'm not hyped for his inclusion! And even more exciting is knowing there's more info on the way.
Why are people complaining about Cloud being in Smash? Do they know who Cloud is? He's one of the most famous video game character of all time! Maybe even more famous than Mario. I don't know what they expected.

Good decision. A good start Sakurai. I think that was genius idea for a company to party with and a character that will be remembered to go down in history. People called it, but not a lot of people did and what's great was that there was no leaking (I'm blush at that). Seriously a better character you could have asked for in franchise fighting game.
Time to really see the REAL biased DEATH BATTLE between Link and Cloud. Place. Your. Bets

The Lucas amiibo is coming December 17 in Japan, the same day Mother 3 is arriving on the virtual console. A Mother 1-3 special Nintendo point prepaid card is coming out too.
Crap. I thought this was all regions. A worldwide release means Lucas is safe from getting cut in Smash 5.
