I like how's there customs allowed though. What do you mean there's no 1v1 in tournament?
That's just what I've been hearing. I haven't tried out tourney mode yet, let alone updated the game. Too busy recoding replays (for the past 3 hours).
Smash Mains:
N64: Captain Falcon
Melee: Mario
Brawl: Sonic
Project M: Link
Smash 3DS: Captain Falcon
Smash Wii U: Ganondorf
There are definitely 1v1 tournaments. I have joined at 1v1 For Glory Stock tournament with 32 players that starts in just under 22 minutes. I'm pumped. This will be fun.
I woke up in the middle of the night, and then I heard the news about the new Smash update. It was meant to be!
The new content is fantastic! I bought the two stages and for the first time bought myself a few Mii costumes. (Lloyd, Chrom, and Proto Man)
Making an accurate Lloyd is kinda fun. For those interested I recommend making his neutral B Blurring Blade, it's the exact same as Sword Rain. I made his side B Airborne Assault, which is a lot like Tempest, and made his down B Power Thrust which is obviously quite like his Sonic Thrust. His up B is difficult though — none of the custom moves are a lot like Lloyd's moves, but I'm thinking either Skyward Slash Dash for Tiger Rage or Stone Scabbard for Beast Rage.
I'm having a blast cause this is the closest we might see of Lloyd in Smash, and to think initially I hated the idea of Mii Fighters!
You know... Since mii fighters are allowed I'm actually going to start maining Brawler. I will use him sometimes for tournaments too with... You can guess what costume:

Also what's the best specials for brawler? I know that his second up b is good but not sure about the other specials. I wish there was 1v1 tournaments and like... Regular versions for the tournaments that can be created. I probably would have done regular tournaments by the game all the time anyways! Looking forward to it and the NintendoLife community one! Will be loads of fun seriously

Fox's shine (down b aka reflector) now sort of acts like it did in Melee now (meaning it can spike people)...
uh-oh.
Smash 4 is Melee confirmed. Jokes aside, but I think this may be a good buff since he didn't have a spike. Also he can't cancel his shine so that isn't so bad...

@IceClimbers: I actually played around looking for this glitch, so I can verify this one: The glitch is not entirely gone, but has been downgraded from devastating to mildly annoying. You can drop people through on yellow, but they won't be left helpless and will be immediately able to jump after they begin falling through the stage. If you try to do it on red they will always land as if there had been no trampoline at all. Haven't tried this with customs. My guess is they thought this was hilarious and suited Pa-man's goofiness well enough to keep it in, but kept it from being severely broken.
On a side note, is this The Hero's Ballad in the acoustic style of Yoshi's Story? Hnnngh OMG!

I agree. I think it's just more used as a gimp now than it was before. Honestly, I can't see the difference, I never used Reflector on offence.

New stages are cool but so far the tournament mode looks stupid. It's made the same way it is in Mario Kart 8 (which is why I never bother with it in Mario Kart).
You create a tournament that lasts for days, so it basically has nothing to do with skill and more to do with who's willing to sit on their console all day and rack up the most wins. I don't understand why they can't just create a ranking system and let you choose "RANKED" during For Glory matches.
I just can't find any reason to why I would want to bother with the Tournament mode but I'm sure some people will enjoy it.
The Youtube upload setup just like Mario Kart 8 has a length of video limit. Any match which is longer than 3 minutes cannot be uploaded, in Mario Kart 8 that was of course 1 minute.
I haven't tried the Youtube upload yet. That could be interesting.
The Hyrule Castle 64 is the best looking of any of the old stages they reintroduced for this game. It looks more polished than the Kirby and Mario one. I would have liked it if both stages had better music selection though and always found it odd how some stages have 10 or so tracks to choose from and others only have 5.
Overall this update was meh for me. Without a ranking system, I just don't really feel inclined to continue playing online and will probably only have fun with it when I play multiplayer locally among friends, which isn't often.
