A fast and light fighter. Smash Attacks involve using the pickaxe and pulling up turnips. Side special is a mine cart not unlike Wario's Bike. Up special has Toad exit via a door and appear again in a second door above the action. Final Smash summons a dragon and rides across the screen. Toadette and different coloured Toad alt-costumes. Works with the Toad Amiibo that already exists.

I voted for Professor Layton and Luke, Chase McCain and Inkling. I'd probably vote for Isaac later.
I could even give Professor Layton's moveset if anyone wants.
I'm voting for Dark Samus; she'd definitely be a great addition. Her use of Phazon as opposed to Samus' traditional weaponry would be a nice contrast, and show that not everyone with "Dark" in their name is a straight-up clone character.
Krystal would be good as well. If she used her staff from Adventures it would make her a fairly unique fighter. Plus Star Fox needs to break the clone-character pattern with its reps.
