I'm got disconnected on the results page,both times,strange.

The disconnect happens to others when I host so I let somebody else host to fix the problem

An Octoshot quad is good for all out attack ,not so much at defending it seems.

Thanks for that link! That same calculator was originally on https://splatoon-calculator.herokuapp.com (which I had bookmarked), but that link was dead for a long time. I thought it was just gone for good. ^^

I actually got exactly what I ordered from Spyke once (Red Hi Tops with 3x swim speed up)! Got no definitive info on it but I think it's just random and the chance to get exactly what you ordered is very very low.
@Megapokepaul: I think if you really want a single-abilitiy piece of gear, the only way is brute force. It's not impossible (I've seen someone with the Bobble Hat and 3x Quick Superjump subslots), but personally, I wouldn't waste my snails/money on such an improbable goal. At least it's easier to reroll a different item from the Squidforce brand to get 3x Damage Up on it.

Oh yeah, that happened to me so many times. It's a dilemma when you realize that you're on a losing streak but at the same time still want to play Splatoon because it's addictive. Also, I sometimes wanted to stop but hit 'continue' automatically. ^^

Just to be precise: It lets you calculate the effect of the abilities, not the chance to get those abilities in your subslots.
