This poster recently released at Gamescom for all the new characters introduced in Skylanders Trap Team, and it appears to hold some secrets.
All 8 elements return, but in the upper-right there appears to be 2 more that are shrouded in mystery, and based on the boxes used for the other known elements they will be 2 Trap Masters each
And for the main villains on the rightside of the image, there appears to be 1 villain for each element, however it leaves 2 open spots.
Tech - Dr. Krankcase
Air - Dreamcatcher
Fire - Chef Pepper Jack
Water - Gulper
Life - Chompy Mage
Earth - Golden Queen
Magic - ???
Undead - Wolfgang
??? - ???
??? - Kaos
So the main villain, Kaos, has a new element, perhaps Dark-type will be a new element? And there's 2 missing, 1 is needed for Magic, and the other would be left to a completely new element, which I have no idea what it would be.
Even for the lesser villains at the bottom of the image, there are 3 for each element (5 for Tech, Water & Life), leaving 6 shrouded in mystery, using the logic here, they would be split in half, 3 for a new element, 3 for another new element.
